“the steam shower is the bomb!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2011

I just love the executive suite! The steam shower and separate jetted tub are wonderfully relaxing and luxurious. The heated tiles in the bathroom area is a excellent addition to an already impressive bathroom section. The king sized bed offered a comfortable restful sleep and the fireplace offered a warm peaceful ambience to the room. Draw backs: sedament from pipes in the tub were a bit of a turn off, and cover from fireplace was ascue showing an unattractive view of the motor/etc. Otherwise the view from the patio of the mountains and the amazing bathroom amenitites sell me on this hotel every time - this is my second visit to the executive suite. I almost dont want to tell anyone about this great room for risk of increasing demand and therefore increasing the price.

The people running the place were great. Sense of humors and gave me exactly what they said they would. The room was fantastic. Wood burning fire place, Full sized fridge, microwave etc., some dishes. It was like having your own full kitchen :) I actually got to park in a parkade :):) The view of the near by mountains was beautiful as well and it was just on a road with in five minute drive into Banff. There was nothing I didn't like. I felt like I was in heaven in that location. I will definitely be going back sometime deal or not :):) This review is asking me if I would refer this hotel to friends. That's scary because I know it will be over booked when I want to go back :):):)

We came to Banff for my husband to go snowboarding & we have a 5 month old baby so I stayed at the room during the day.We wanted a room with a kitchen,to save on eating out,it was like a mini apartment!Room was very clean, kitchen stocked appropriately, staff was very friendly&helpful. We were located a little ways from downtown so we had to drive to get to downtown to do a little shopping, but we were prepared for that. You only got one bundle of firewood upon check-in.We stayed for 3 nights, would have been nice to have one each night! The hot tub, steam room was very nice but the pool was at the main office so with a small baby we had to take her outside after playing in the water( a short walk from where our room was). But had a great stay and would definitely stay here again.

Hi, i stayed at tunnel mountain on Friday Jan-14-11. This " resort " is disgusting, when we got in our room the heat was off. It was -30 c out side !! MY i phone app said -5 c it took our room 3 hours to warm up with us using the wood fire place to help. The bathroom was dirty with hair on the floor, the shower did not work " due to frozen pipes " imagine that with the heat off at -30c, no hot water. I called the "MANAGER " on Saturday Jan 15 after we checked out and they didn't discount the room for me and all she said was we could have called maintenance and switched rooms, we were there for a ski trip and were rushing to the hill as it was. Why would we change rooms at 6 am.? TUNNEL MOUNTAIN RESORT IS REALLY BAD YOUR BETTER OFF TO SLEEP IN YOUR CAR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! P.S Even the spiders were cold, they were in the bed !!!!!!!!

We got a good deal on an Executive suite and were impressed with the accomodation; jacuzzi, steam shower, fireplace and a balcony looking over Tunnel Mountain which we sat out on to spy the deer walk past! It was roughly a 20 minute downhill walk into the centre and buses run regularly too. We would recommend Cougar Pete's at the Youth Hostel across the road for breakfast - really friendly staff and great, affordable food! Walks around Lake Louise and Sulphur Mountain have absolutely beautiful views and we also hired a canoe for a couple of hours for a trip along the Bow River. Banff is definitely worth a visit!

Stayed over the Holidays and had a Christmas get together in the chalet. It was a memorable time and would recommend this to everyone. This Location is really really beautiful, it is located above the town and the views and areas to stop and enjoy the views was spectacular.
The Amentities are excellent at the resort. Great Pool and HotTub.
I would love to come again and experience the great hiking that is located steps away as the Front Desk told me how beautiful it is!!
Thank you Tunnel Mountain Resort. See ya Soon!!!
