Our family stayed at the Rimrock for two nights in June 2013 while visiting Banff. We loved the location away from the strip which is tourist central. I thought the location would be great as it was close to the hot springs. I would pass on the hot springs. We walked over and turned around as the pool was packed, smelled horribly, and really just looked like your local public pool. We opted for a swim at the nice pool at the hotel. Despite that we really liked the Rimrock. We had dinner at the hotel both nights out on the little deck off of the main lobby. The food was good and the view was better than anything you could get in the village. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. We did not have a spectacular view from the room as we looked over the parking lot but that is probably available for a few extra dollars. If we returned to Banff we would stay here again as it was a nice respite from the hordes in the village and the Fairmont!
