“Beautiful view of the mountains!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2013

Nice hotel room with a nice view of the mountains. this hotel is built on the side of the mountain. five minute walk uphill to the Banff Gondola. the staff was very polite and helpful!
the room was clean and spacious with huge windows that looked out to the Rockies.
not too far away from the town. plenty of parking!! check in and check out process was fast.
loved the service!!

My wife and I stayed here for our 15th wedding aniv. Smooth, quick check in.
Being fall the views were great. Blue skys are nice but we like the grey blue
clouds, smothering the tops of the mountain. Room service was well priced
on time and first class. Great scallops, delicious gnocchi and a great veg flat bread,
with a great tiramisu. We shared the entrees and were happy with the top class
meal. The room was a good size and the temp control was very good. Free wifi.
Why do hotels charge for wifi. Check out was good and valet was very good.
Very friendly staff.

I have so much I could say about this place. It's consistantly wonderful.
The Rimrock was our dream wedding location. The ceremony was outside in the central grassy pavilion, and the reception was in one of the smaller conference rooms with a panoramic mountain view. The night before our wedding they lit a fire in the pavilion and we had so much fun hanging out with our guests there. The service and food at the reception was amazing, they even took my plate away to keep warm when I had to leave the room.
Finally we stayed in the honeymoon suite for a couple nights and it's incredible.
Such a beautiful place.

We just stopped through recently to sit in the lobby and grab lunch and a coffee. The location is beautiful, the atmosphere is cozy, and the staff are so friendly,

Lovely hotel. Room was spacious, clean and had an incredible view (4th floor balcony)...we used the spa services and that just can't be beat! Very close to gondola and hotsprings. Although it says you can walk and you can it is on a mountainous road with no walking path. Being super careful is a must. You do need to drive into twin but we had no issues with parking. Food was great too....

I have stayed here several times both for conferences and just for fun and I am never disappointed. The setting is absolutely beautiful. Very serene location nestled in the mountains and away from the crowds in Banff but close enough to walk or take a quick shuttle ride into town. The views from the rooms can't be beat. Just a short walk to the gondola ride up Sulphur Mountain or hike up.. the panoramic views at the top are worth the effort. We hiked up and then sat in the restaurant and enjoyed the views with a glass of wine! What a wonderful afternoon.

Wonderfully quiet location on the outskirts of Banff with spectacular views, lovely rooms and staff who couldn't be more friendly and helpful.
A regular free shuttle takes guests into the town for those who want crowds and shops but 2 main attractions are within walking distance - the Sulphur Mountain gondola and the Hot springs.
The Banana Split is a 'must' desert and definitely ask for two spoons!

Room Tip: All rooms have views and are quiet. Deluxe are large and very comfortable and look straight down the...

We looked through reviews and wondered if some of the naysayers would be wrong. Were they ever! From Jeff at the door (sorry I don't know your title) to Bree at the Primrose, to the ladies at the check in desk to a young server with dark hair in the Larkspur who spent an inordinate amount of time helping us figure out what to do in Banff, we had amazingly warm service. We loved our balcony room, in spite of the cold weather at the end of Sept. We expected maybe a low of 60, not 40! We bundled up and had our happy hour on the balcony and took in the great view! We had dinner at the Primrose, our final night of vacation. We expected average but got superb! Nearly as good as the Fairmont Lake Louise at half the price. Great service at a window table. We dined on lobster pasta and scallop angel hair and split a banana split made with bourbon vanilla ice cream! Everything rich and wonderful for a special occasion. Furnishings are sleek and the staff seemed anxious to please. Kudos again to the chef. Special touches: complimentary bus passes to go into Banff, an umbrella to borrow when it was drizzling, lots of friendly advice, great coffee in the rooms and extremely good beds. (So, why not a 5? Housekeeping was a little lax, late in doing their work and didn't change our sheets. When we called they were prompt, however. The young lady cleaning told us it wouldn't take even 10 min. when we vacated to get out of her way. Also $16/day to self-park with no security at all) Otherwise, a great place to stay! Simply gorgeous Sunrise two days' ago, when we left, and a bonus: a caribou wandering the grounds right beneath our balcony. What's not to like? Oops forgot--free and reliable Wifi!

Room Tip: Balcony rooms are on floor 4 and the lobby is on floor 7. Built into a mountain, after all. If you...
