My wife and I stayed in the Swiss Village building of the Inns of Banff. Inside our room, was a stained toilet which ran non stop, every corner where the walls met the floor was encrusted in filth, and the room itself was not exactly built to keep noise from other rooms out, if you get my drift. Definitely not what we were expecting from a hotel in Banff, Alberta which is known for its resort like getaways. The service at the front desk was good, the staff was friendly and knew what they were doing which impressed me. This hotel has a roof top hot tub, which is actually quite spacious. The problems we had with it were it did not have adequate change rooms and no storage to put your personal belongings while in the tub. Since it is in the B Building of the hotel, guests who are not staying in that building will have to walk outside to access the tub, then if you don't want to change in the tiny washroom, you will freeze when you have to walk back to your room in your soaking wet swim trunks! They also do not provide ski equipment storage, yet do not allow you to take them to your room either! It just did not seem like a place where you could get away from it all. We will definitely look elsewhere from now on!

The rooms are in tough shape. The patio the looks onto the moutains is cracked and chunks of it slide around. Almost slipped when I went outside to check it out. The walls and furniture are dinged up. The parking in this facility is terrible and the staff was hesitant to help deal with people who were parking in 2 spots with 1 vehicle. I will never stay here again.

Stayed here over Christmas. The welcome was very good and the staff on the front desk were alway helpful. We stayed in one of the 3 bed condominiums rooms at the back of the hotel. A bit of a trek through the hotel but at least you keep warm. The rooms were warm and comfortable, ideal for a family get together. Kitchen equipment was good. I personally didn't sample the hot tub but others in the party said it was great. We kept our skis in the ski locker and the only complaint was why they gave us the places next to each other when we were the only people using it....got new places when asked. Other downside was that you can hear noise from rooms above, the dancing children were replaced by the stomping adults. Not a lot you can do, and it didn't spoil the break or keep us awake.

The accommodations are nice and the outside hot tub is awesome! however,it was very loud! I will give some the benefit of the doubt that we were there over new years and its not normally that loud (assuming). However- last year I stayed in a hostel and it was quieter. If you want a party hotel this is it. The rooms are nothing special but did the trick- We didnt spend much time in the room though as we were out on the mountains everyday. I would consider going back to this hotel- We stayed in the swiss village and rumor had the rest of the hotel wasn't as loud.
