Cheap accommodation in Banff. VERY dated and furnishings quite soiled. If you can afford better I would recommend you stay elsewhere.

I am sorry to hear you were disappointed in your stay in our Swiss Village building but I am confident that this price point provides great value for budget minded guests. Our main buildings in the Inns of Banff are more modern yet still provide great value and closer access of all of our amenities, such as the outdoor hot pool, ski rental shop, and Bears Den Pub.

Stayed here 2 nights September 2011. Check in fine. Limited information given. Free bus pass very useful to travel up and down main road. Rooms large (C block) but views limited. Very noisy plumbing from other rooms and noisy from corridor access to rooms. In room amenities fine. Sheets didn't fit the bed - too small. Hotel is located at the edge of town and to walk in takes around 15 minutes. Didn't use any on site facilities. Went downtown to eat - there is a Keg about 5 minutes walk away, and plenty of other places inn downtown Banff. Parking at hotel is free. Wouldn't stay here again due to noisy plumbing and small sheets.

Room Tip: Wouldn't recommend this hotel

It is great to hear that you took advantage of our complimentary bus service to downtown and enjoyed your dinner at the Keg restaurant which is located at our sister property, the Banff Caribou Lodge.

Stayed at Inns of Banff on 11/11/11. Found a good deal on the internet. Very disappointed thought with the hotel. The rooms were large which was a positive but other than that not much else was good. On check in the hotel provides a little handout for their guests. One of the points on this list was to remind guests of the so-called 'quiet time' between the hours of 1100pm - 8am. That should have raised a red flag I suppose. Anyway, we hardly had a wink of sleep because of noisy guests partying until 4.00 am.It was mostly drunk teenagers by the sound of it. The hotel also is in need of a facelift and is looking rather tired particularly in the public areas, reception, corridors, bar etc. One thing that made me uncomfortable is that the corridors are accessible from the outside and although there is a key card acess point it was not operational. The so called restaurant is more like a truckers cafe, pretyy basic. I have to say though that the staff were very pleasant and friendly. It is a shame really as it has the ability to be a really good property. One good thing is the restaurant across the road called Bumpers. We had a casual but excellent meal there. The steaks were wonderful and the chocolate cake (made by one of the servers) was divine.

Room Tip: Keep away from the corridor entrance/exits

Thank you for your comments. We are well into our renovation plans as we recognize the need for a facelift but we are confident that our attractive price points currently provide great value.

My husband and I stayed here the first night of our honeymoon. Our room was HUGE and the jacuzzi tub was exactly what was needed after a couple of very busy days. The views were amazing!! It's at the far end of Banff Avenue but that really didn't matter.

In September 2011 we booked one night, using American Airlines miles. They first gave us a room in the Swiss Village section, which appears to be older than the other sections. The room had not been properly cleaned. When this was brought to the attention of the staff they were apologetic and made up for it by giving us a free room upgrade into a better section. A young man named Michael was especially helpful and eager to make us happy in our stay. We enjoyed the room and its view, and are grateful for their going the extra mile in making matters right.

My mother and I stayed here for a week, and we had an absolutely wonderful time. We have been to Banff many times before and usually stay in the same hotel, but it was full on this occasion and we were offered the Inns of Banff; we were very glad we were. The room was huge and the beds were extremely comfortable, with a nice deep bath in the bathroom (just what you need after a day out in the freezing cold). The staff are efficient, friendly and happy to help with anything at all you might require, and the hotel itself is immaculate, with two restaurants (the breakfast is great). The view from our (very big) balcony was spectacular, and sitting relaxing in the rooftop hot tubs looking out at the Rockies is something I will never forget (I had them to myself for a couple of hours at one point, everybody else being out skiing during the day). The hotel is on the edge of the town so it's nice and quiet; it's not a long walk into the centre of town, but if you don't feel like walking the hotel provides a free bus pass for the (regular and reliable) local bus service. Banff is the most beautiful place I've ever been, and this is definitely my new favourite hotel there.

Stayed for two nights in early October 2011 on a fly drive holiday through the Rockies. On arrival we were offered and accepted an upgrade to a junior penthouse suite for a very small premium. Excellent facilities and helpful staff and the room had beautiful mountain views. We would definitely recommend. WiFi was free.
