“Great condo for large group”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2011

Rented the 3 bedroom condo for a girls' weekend trip. The condo was great - newly renovated and lots of space. It was equipped for 6 ladies, enough towels, plates, etc. There was lots of open space for hanging out together and the bedrooms were a decent size for sharing. The bunk bed room was a litle awkward for a grown up to sleep on the top bunk, but it worked. It had a sliding door on this room that was a little noisy to open and close and didn't necessarily keep the light out if people were hanging out in the living room.
The outdoor pool was nice, but closed a little early at 10PM.
Parking was often challenging to find on a busy weekend, but there was always room to park it just took some time.
The location is quite a ways down the main street, but if you have your vehicle this isnt a problem it's a couple minute drive to the centre of town. The hotel does offer a free bus pass on the Banff public transit, the hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk from the centre of town. Would definitely stay at this place again with a group of friends or a family.
Price may have been a little pricey at $500/night with taxes.

Room Tip: Pre-book the condo suite.

The Inns of Banff is has a wide range of rooms and price points to accommodate all guests. The three-bedroom condos can accommodate up to 9 people and include full kitchens, flat screen televisions in every bedroom, and two full bathrooms. They provide great value especially during midweek and shoulder seasons.

My husband and I stayed here in September 2011 for our anniversary. The room was very clean and spacious. The view was beautiful and it's so quiet. Had our own private balcony with a spectacular view! Bed was very comfy! Loved our time there, great value on the money spent. Definitely found our place to stay for next time! If you want to be a bit away from the busy strip and the throngs of people, then this is the right place!

Room Tip: If you're looking for a quiet place, look no further!

My husband and I stayed here in September 2011. The front desk staff was very friendly, our room was HUGE compared to others we have had on this trip, and it was very clean. We were in the 500 section of building B, and yes, it can be a bit confusing on how to get places, BUT, my husband and I found everything very easily by simply reading signs. The outside hot tub, (excellent by the way, with awesome views of Mt. Rundle!) which is only to be found by the "adventurous" without directions from staff, was very easily located- we had very good room information on a pamphlet, and it told you exactly where it was located.
Aside from an enormous fight a couple in the room next to us had at 2 a.m. (no amount of insulation and concrete wall would have muffled their screams! Haha, just another fun memory!), our had a lovely one night stay here, and both my husband and I agree that if we return to Banff, we will stay here again.
Special note- this is NOT centrally located in the town and near shopping. It is towards the edge of town and away from all the hubbub of tourists. :-)

Room Tip: Ask for a mountain view room to get a view of the peaks!

The hotel is a 15-20 minute walk away from the downtown core but many guests choose to use the complimentary bus service that picks up directly across the street from the lobby.

If you are staying in Banff and don't want to spend a fortune on accommodation then look no further than this hotel. It is clean, parking is free, wi-fi is free and quick, it's pretty quiet and great value for money. Granted it is at the very end of Banff Avenue but getting to the restaurants, bars and shops is no more than a ten minute walk, and when you are surrounded by the Canadian Rockies than can't be a bad thing.

Would definitely recommend and would certainly go back

We stayed for 3 nights while visiting Canada. Our room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. We had a nice balcony we could sit out on which looked out onto some trees and to the left were the Rockies. One late afternoon we saw a deer in the trees. The food in the restaurant was very good and freshly cooked. The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable with the local area. The complimentary bus pass was also very useful. We had been told the Banff was very expensive. We found this Hotel to be very reasonably priced. We would have stayed longer if we'd been able but we were travelling around.

Room Tip: It's worth paying slightly more to get a fridge. We only paid about $20 per night more for this...

While I found it a little confusing to find my room in B block 4th floor, the staff was more than helpful. While the rooms were in need of updating it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and while the hotel did provide a bus pass it was only a few blocks to walk downtown, and since the area is so beautiful the walk as enjoyed.
