Let's start by saying my overall thoughts on this place is that it was a good place to stay, and I would stay again. There is lots to recommend this place, but theres a few areas they could pull up their socks and make it a really nice place. When I walked in to the lobby I thought "what have I booked here, this could be bad". The lobby is cramped and a bit shabby looking and the elevator looks terrible inside. The staff were very friendly though and our room was beautiful and looked like it was recently renovated. In fact, it may have been the nicest room on our long road trip. The pool was also nice and a good depth for little kids. There were two hot tubs, one of which was out of order. The location was also excellent an easy walk to downtown Banff and all you need. The breakfast was a little weak, options are limited but it's included. Frankly, the excellent room and location makes this place a good choice if you can get past your first impressions.
