“Good value for the price!”

Well situated hotel ( 5 min walk from central Banff ). Friendly staff and decent size rooms. You get what you pay for and this hotel represents good value for money in a town that capitalises on tourism. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise.. Decent variety and plenty of tables.. Good fruit, cereals and hot dishes.. The absolute bonus here was FREE PARKING! Believe it or not this not common in Banff Hotels. The hotel also has a Sauna and pool.. As we said, good value in Banff!

We spent two nights here for a mini family get away. The hotel yes is older, but the room we had was nice. we had a great view of the mountains. We slept well, didn't hear too much noise. The pool was great, clean and well maintained. The kids loved it. It is a bit on the cool side but that fine. The boys loved that there were two hot tubs to sit in. The front desk people were top notch. Friendly and helpful, one of the best check ins I have even done. I had one small issue with our room and it was taken care of in a timely fashion. The breakfast isn't the greatest, but it was free so cant complain too much. The hotel is close to downtown, we could walk there for suppers and shopping. For the price we paid it was good value for our money. We didn't spend too much time in our room as there is so much to see and do in Banff, it is a good base for your Banff adventures.

Room Tip: We had a room on the second floor at the back of the hotel. We found it quiet as it was far from the...

Stayed for 2 nights with my parents, had a great experience. The rooms were very clean and had modern decor, the breakfast could have been better, it lacked hot food. The pool and 2 hot tubs were very clean and well maintained. The day we checked out they allowed us to stay in the room until 1pm with not extra charges and then allowed my father to do some laundry after checking out while my mother and I did some shopping. Staff was very friendly and helpful, I would love to stay here again

We stayed two nights in the Executive suite, 2 bedrooms, lounge and bathroom. Rather comfortable and a Perfect base for our Banff visit.
It is a rustic aging hotel with alot of character, tends for alot of overnight bus tour tourists but with our room position at the western end of the hotel we had hardly any passing traffic noise in the hallway with their early morning departures.
Free breakfast was very basic and free underground car parking was a bonus. Both nights we were there it snowed heavily. It was fun watching those who had no choice but to park on the street cleaning the snow off their vehicles.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The rooms are nicely renovated & the room has double glass for reduced noise. The car parking is undercover & secure. The pool area is nice & has 2 spa pools.
It's about 5 mins walk to downtown.
The staff were always friendly.
Wifi was not stable, continued to drop out & was very slow (this could be due to easter wend & no vacancies)
The continental breakfast is average, we preferred to walk to the bakery for good coffee & fresh pastries.

Four of adults stayed in the 1 queen room. It was very comfortable and the wall between the two beds was nice added privacy. The room had a mini fridge, 2 cup coffee maker, microwave, 2 TV's, table/chairs, AC. The sink was seperate from the toilet/shower which was very convenient. The Complimentary breakfast was very good and satisfying. The pool/hot tub area was clean and there were a couple of hot tubs for different groups to enjoy. The staff was very friendly. The location is perfect - very easy walking to the restaurants and shopping. Definitely will be going back to stay here.

Dear Guest,

Thank you so very much for you kind review! We always appreciate guest feedback whether it is positive or negative and I'm certainly pleased to see that you enjoyed your experience at the High Country Inn.

It sounds as though the room type you stayed in was our "One Bedroom Suite." This room contains two queen beds with one of them being located in a separate bedroom. This room type also guarantees a balcony, mountain view and comes standard with a microwave and two TV's. This room is a fantastic option for families or anyone looking to get added privacy through having a separate bedroom.

We just finished renovated this room type and I'm pleased to say that all our rooms at the High Country Inn are newly renovated!

Kind Regards,

Jordan Irwin
