“Very big rooms”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2013

The room and bathroom are very big and that's always very comfortable. Everything very
clean and after a day being busy it's great to enjoy the well equiped bathroom. The hotel
is not far from the city centre, it's a easy walk to get there. Also the reception offers all the information you need and they are happy to answer every question. The parking is right under the hotel and you have got a dry spot over there. The breakfast is fine but when it's busy in the hotel, sometimes we had to wait for a place to sit. They use a lot of paper ad plastic, plates and knifes, forks, cups, easy and throw it just away but still it's a lot of paper and plastic. But that
doesn't mean you shouldn't go there, it's a very good chocie to choose Charlton's cedar court

We just returned from two days in Banff and our stay at Charlton's Cedar Court. Our double queen room was very big (on the 2nd floor) and the bathroom was huge. The entire room was fairly newly renovated and very clean. Very comfy beds. The pool was nice and the hot tub was perfect after a long day in the mountains. The staff were friendly and the free wifi and parking was an added bonus. The continental breakfast was just that. Muffins, toast, fruit and cereal.
I would stay here again without a doubt!

My wife and I stayed at the hotel while celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary, which the management made even more special with a little surprise they arranged for us. We were happy with everything about our stay, starting with the charming and efficient welcome and subsequent service by the receptionist, Dimple. I would add that we were impressed by all the staff we met. We loved the room, which was elegant and cosy with all the modern trappings of a good hotel. The free breakfast, parking and Wi-Fi were bonuses - features which other hotels in Banff should take note of. We will definitely return to Banff will have no hesitation in making Charlton Cedar's Court our first choice for accommodation.

I want to say thanks to the Charlton management team for the quality staff they have on board. Two deserve especial mention: Harley at the front desk is a mature balance between professional and approachable. The other was the red haired lady in the breakfast area. Compassion, capability and personality simply oozed from her! This will most certainly be a return choice for us whenever we are in Banff!!

We booked the hotel on-line based on the reviews on Tripadvisor. We selected a romance package with several upgrades and add-ons and everything was as advertised. The rooms were clean and well-appointed and the location was nice, not too close to downtown to be noisy but within walking distance to the shops and restaurants. Excellent value!

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights in September. This is a Motel that outrageously has the temerity to call itself a Hotel - never in a month of Sundays is this a hotel and not what I'd call value for money. The first room allocated to us was situated next to the air conditioning plant, the noise from which was persistently intrusive. However, when I mentioned it to reception the next morning they did move us to a quieter location - so thank goodness for common sense. The hotel is a fairly old timber framed building with very little by way of sound proofing and therefore noise transmission is a problem between rooms and external walkways only exacerbate the situation. Upon booking we were given to understand that breakfast was provided in the price. This turned out to be one of those "help yourself" to a most unimaginative assortment of cereals, yogurts, toast, and boiled eggs in a characterless room were the guests were uncommunicative, and to cap it all the coffee was self service in paper cups. If the hotel's plan was to achieve a swift throughput it certainly met its objective as nobody hung about for long. The so called swimming pool was a bit on the small side and generally the changing facilities were dated. Now for the good points, the car parking is on site and free, and for the spritely it's only a 15/20 minute walk to downtown Banff. Banff is an absolutely wonderful place - shame about this place.

Room Tip: Have look somewhere else first.
