this was my second stay here in the past 18 months and was once again, pleased with our choice. stayed in the family room so it overlooks the parking lot, not the river. two beds in one room with a tv and in the other room there is a bed, tv, pull out single size sofa bed, fridge and coffee maker. i slept on the pull out couch and would say it's only big enough for one adult and, i would not want to sleep on it for more then one night. or request an extra quilt to sleep on. it was like sleeping on springs. but the other beds were all fine, it was clean and the staff were again, very friendly. it's a very good budget (in comparison to some others) motel for banff.

We paid $135CAD a night and were really happy with the room - not modern but nicely done and very clean. View over the river was beautiful, especially with so much snow and ice everywhere. Location is brilliant which is why we booked it, 5 min walk to main street, bus, train etc. The buffett breakfast included in our price was next door at the sister hotel and the breakfast was fantastic - heaps of choice - even omelettes made in front of you by a very friendly lady. Hotel service was friendly but not over the top annoying. Awesome value for money.

A Group of 11 of us stayed at the Bow View for 7 nights in January 2008. We got a great deal and expected very basic accommodation but we were pleasantly suprised !!

The location is great with everything in walking distance and the bus stop for the 3 ski areas about 2 minutes walk. The Hotel was clean and the rooms very generous in size, as a couple we had 2 double beds, a pull out sofa bed, table and chairs, tv, convenience fridge and coffee making facilities and good ensuite with shower. The beds were turned down each day and new toiletries left for us - we were very impressed. We took advantage of the 2-4-1 breakfast at the Banff park Lodge opposite which cost under twenty dollars between us (£5 each) and you could have anything from cereal, croissant, omlette, cooked, fruit, muffins and unlimited tea/coffee/juice !! Also available free of charge was the swimming pool, hot tub and steam room at the Banff Park Lodge which was newly completed and very nice with complimentary towels/toiletries etc.

Cant fault this hotel on value and facilities - downstairs secure ski storage as well and lifts to rooms. Would recommend to anyone.

What a lovely hotel. We also were pleasantly surprised. It had obviously been recently renovated. Our room overlooked the river and had a sofa , fridge and small balcony. All the facilities (bar, restaurant, safe deposit boxes) were at the sister hotel next door. It was lovely to hear the plaintiff noise of the trains as they blew their horns to scare wildlife from the track - but it got a bit much in the early hours of the morning! Nothing anyone can do about that and it certainly didn't spoil our enjoyment of the holiday
