“Another great Best Western hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2014

This hotel is off the "main" street in Banff, but it is still close enough that you can park for free at the hotel and walk to places. The staff was friendly. The included breakfast had a good selection, although the room to eat it in could be bigger/have more seats. The wood paneling on the ceiling in the rooms gave it a more "rustic" feeling. And having a balcony in the room was an added bonus! Great price for the room, especially when you consider how much some Banff hotels are!

This place is walking distance from downtown, very clean, big rooms, a nice breakfast, and free wifi. Ask for the Triple A rate. Very accommodating staff. It gas a small pool, and access to the gym downtown. The pizza place (I think Carlotis) two doors up the road-excellent!

Room Tip: Ask for an upstairs front to people watch, back for quiet.

Used a voucher from a BW rewards for this stay. Location of the facility was great, quiet yet w/in walking distance to town center (about a 15 min. walk). However, we were disappointed in the condition of the room and the linens. The duvet cover was dirty, lamp shades were torn and the room was a bit shabby over all. We didn't notice the dirty bedding until we were ready to turn in for the night. Staff was very responsive when I called and quckly sent a nice man to change the entire bedding. The breakfast was fine and the front desk staff were friendly and efficient. There was no extra charge for parking (perhaps that was included in our voucher).

Room Tip: We stayed in room 222A. It needs updating but is in a very quiet section of the motel.

Elisa and Jill at the front desk are simply amazing. It's easy to see that their job gets really busy and hectic, both of these girls work fast and with a smile. What great service!! The pool is on the small side, but unless you're into swimming Olympic size laps, it won't matter. The design is perfect under the skylight, swimming is always better in the sun.

I chose Best Western because I can acquire gift cards through Aeroplan which helps to offset the cost of a holiday in Banff which tend to be more expensive as it is such a gorgeous place to visit. We enjoyed the breakfasts, the bedding, the beds, and we had good service. I like the in-room fridge and microwave, the pool/hot tub and the balcony where my elderly mother could sit and enjoy the mountains while we hiked. We did have an air conditioning problem but were offered a discount. Luckily the cool mountain air cooled off the room eventually. My daughter had no such problem in her room so I believe this was an isolated case. I will definitely stay here again.

stayed here first part of trip and then stayed at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. Really liked the Best Western-we stayed in jacuzzi suite. It was very relaxing retuning at end of day after hiking to soak in the tub and watch tv while doing so. It was very clean, on the main street so we could easily walk to dinner and shopping, it was easy getting the car in and out of the garage, and loved the lemon water available 24/7 in the lobby. Breakfast was good fresh eggs tasty-just gets real crowded. For value, this is a very good place to stay. Its on par with a Marriott or Hampton Inn in the states. Room was clean and very large. A couple of nights it was noisy outside as hotel is next to a hostel but it didn't go on for very long and was quite by about 11 pm. Would stay here in again. Lake Louise wasn't really worth the money. $20 for a salad, really?

Room Tip: pay the extra money and get the jacuzzi suite its worth it

Desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Underground parking was very convenient and had an elevator directly to each floor. Large room. Indoor pool and spa. Decent breakfast. Quiet. All in all a good stay
