“Good Value and Clean”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2013

We stayed for 3 nights at this hotel. The staff were very nice and supportive, they printed out our boarding passes when we left without charge. The breakfast was good, scrambled eggs, sausages (round patty or link), pancakes or waffles and the rest of the normal fare. The only complaint from grandson was the waffle were soggy but everything else was good. The location is good if you are willing to walk since you have 3-5 blocks to the main shopping area. Down the street which the hotel is on you can get a grocery store (3 blocks) and a liquor store (4blocks) which is the largest in the town. We did see an immature male elk on this street and carefully got within 2 metre's (6 ft) which was a thrill. Overall it was a great choice, the staff were willing to do all that you wanted to make your stay memorable.

This is a nice hotel, well located 4 blocks from downtown; it is superb value for money in winter, but very expensive in high summer season. Balconies are nice, breakfast is typical of a Best Western, which is to say quite OK. Underground parking in winter is quite a plus if your car doesn't have a block heater.

The room was spacious enough and had a nice view. It was fairly close to the downtown area which was wonderful to see with the scenery surrounding the town. Lots of brochures to help with selections of what to do and see. Underground parking nice even though a little tight with large vehicles. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast area was small. Bed seemed to be fairly new as it was a higher bed and quite comfortable. Only problem we had was a knock on the door at 1:45 from a pizza guy delivering a pizza to someone but that wasn't the hotel's fault. Would definitely stay there again as we enjoyed walking the town, seeing the waterfall, and of course, riding the Gondola.

we stayed 2 nights at this Best Western. It's smaller than some, but a great value. Everything is compact. Free parking underground, which was terrific. Small pool just off the lobby. Wonderful breakfasts each morning. And when the air conditioning went down for part of the day (which could have been because of a power outage up the street), the hotel gave us a $50 break in the rate. The hotel was a little hard for us to find, but it's a great value. It sits right off the main street (Banff Avenue), so it's easy to walk to shopping and restaurants.

Room Tip: no views here due to location. It's tucked into town. But there is so much to see and do in th...

Service was good and all of the staff were friendly. Stayed in a two room suite. Very nice and clean. Great location, just a couple of minutes walk to everything on the main drag such as shopping and restaurants. Hotel had a lot of information available for tourists such as brochures, maps and dining guides. Bed was very comfy and complimentary hot breakfast was good. The pool and hot tub were a bit small but clean and uncrowded in June when we visited. Would definitely stay here again :)

Room Tip: Suites are good for two couples or more or a big family to share

We loved our stay here. The room was spotless, modern and very spacious, with fridge, microwave and comfortable beds. It was just a quick walk away from downtown, and the rate was very good for a Banff hotel. The breakfast was great too; lots of choices.

This hotel was by far our favorite in a 14 night roadtrip accross Canada. Will be our first choice next time we're in Banff :)

This is not a 4 star hotel, but it is a very good BW.
Had planned to stay here 1 night, but due to historic flooding in Calgary, were stranded as all roads in and out were closed, so ended up being a 2 night stay. The hotel is managed (operated?) by a Filipino family. Elsa, the manager, is unflappable. With dozens of frantic, stranded travelers at the desk, and the phone ringing off the hook, she switched rooms, juggled requests, and kept her cool during a trying time. Some of the staff were stranded at the hotel as well. The rooms were clean, the staff friendly. Breakfast was so so. I stuck to cold cereal. Beverages available in the lobby 24 hrs. The tap water in the bathroom is very hot - be careful.

Short walk to center of town. Would stay here again -
