“Fantastic food, amazing bread, superb service. Try it!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2013

We ate here on 4 occasions and bought food to pack for walks. It was the best day time food we had during our 3 week stay in the Rockies. From Bear Street it looks nothing and the entrance is from the Bison Courtyard. Inside a selection of amazing breads to buy and a vast and delicious range of wraps, sandwiches cakes and treats to choose from. We loved the chicken and mango wraps and had several of the different daily foccacia breads grilled. Regarding the cake and traybake selection we loved the cranberry and coconut slice and the date slice. There is seating indoor and outside, fantastic music and the service is supberb. Jugs of lovely fresh water are constantly replaced and the coffee is excellent. I enjoyed the berry ade on the very hot Canada Day. The staff work very hard and are very friendly. There are papers to read and there was a great exhibition around the walls to view too. We wish we had you back here in England to visit regularly.

“Vegetarian/gluten-free options”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2013

Plenty of healthy baked goods here. A bit on the pricey side though. Coffee was good and Mexican hot chocolate was a treat. I wasn't blown away by the quality of the cookies or squares we tasted, healthy food can be done much better.

“Good food, slow service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2013

I stopped into this cafe a few mornings while I was staying in Banff. The muffins, lemonade, and coffee were all good, if a bit pricey. Service was very slow, but always friendly. I was never in town for lunch, but it looked like they had some nice offerings.

“Quaint, delicious organic food!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2013

We had breakfast here before heading out for a hike. The gluten free food was excellent-especially the "seed bar" It was full of wonderful, organic seeds and filled you up with one bite! The coffee was excellent as were all the other breads and breakfast rolls everyone else had. We loved this place!

“Full of hipsters but worth a visit for sure”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013

Thank god for the kiwi barrister. Definitely the spot in town for a decent Melbourne-standard coffee. Food good but quite temperamental (very panini excellent one day, average the next). 4/5
