At the base of the Sunshine Village Ski Center is a restaurant that looks ordinary but has amazingly good basic food for both breakfast and lunch, and at very reasonable prices. The portion of a la carte eggs for breakfast was enormous, the chicken burgers and other lunch food delicious. The largely Australian wait staff is helpful and unobtrusive, and there is a lovely fireplace to curl up with. After the skiing day is over, the music begins and the mood changes to something less restful. Most people simply stop here for the coffee. But if you are about to start a day skiing or just there to pick someone up, the Creekside is definitely worth a visit.
