We were recently in Banff for 4 nights and enjoyed our stay at the Mountain View B&B. The location is unbeatable. It is located just a few blocks from the center of downtown Banff, so no need to take the car for trips to town. Very good value for the money. If we had stayed at a regular hotel, the cheapest available option would have cost at least 2-3 times what I paid.

Edwina was very accommodating with lots of useful information about the surrounding areas. The room we stayed in was small and clean, and we shared a bathroom with guests in another room. There is a third room with its own private bathroom; if available, I would opt for that one.

Some advice if you plan on staying here or anywhere in this area: bring bug spray. Mosquitoes are everywhere and they are ferocious.

We stayed at Mountain View B&B in early September for 2 nights. The bedroom was clean, comfortable and quiet. The communal living/kitchen area was great as it gave you space to spread out and read the interesting books on the area, as well as use the free internet and make free local phone calls. Sharing a bathroom was no problem as we hardly saw anyone else when staying there. The breakfast was simple (help yourself cereal, toast and jam), but we had specifically chosen this, as we had planned to hit the road early to get on the road before the rush to see more animals. Edwina and Kevan were friendly and helpful. The B& B has parking in front, and it is a couple of blocks walking distance to the centre of town. If you like Mex-Tex food and pub atmosphere, we really recommend The Magpie & Stump for a meal. All in all, staying here was a good relaxing spot for us in Banff.

My husband and myself stayed there on Sept 22/23/24 2011 and we really loved this place. It was spotless and sharing the bathroom was no problem at all. The communal room was lovely with computer access and continental breakfast which was fine. Kevan greeted us and gave us lots of info and Edwina was very friendly and helpful. The outside deck was lovely to sit and relax with a beer after a long day sightseeing.I would definitely recommend this b/b to anyone for the friendliness of the owners and easy walk to town for restaurants and pubs etc.

We travelled as a group of three couples and stayed at Mountain View B&B for a week and it was perfect for us. While the rooms aren't very big, we had everything we needed and the price was very reasonable. The location is great, easy walk to the town centre and to walking trails like Tunnel Mountain. Edwina and Kevan are excellent hosts and were very helpful in providing ideas for sites to visit around Banff. We would love to come back again one day.
