I've been a veggie for 25 years, and get sick to death of veggie restaurants that can't resist having meditation or reiki flyers lying around or pictures of some other hideous new-age s**t. This place delivers none of that nonsense and focuses on a very creative selection of well-prepared veggie fare that I challenge any meat-eater not to enjoy. Actually, I don't care what meat-eaters might think. I'm not on a campaign, and it means more chance of me getting a table!
I had the ravioli and the nachos. Ravioli was very good indeed and cooked to perfection. The nachos were something else. Quite literally. If you want traditional nachos, think again. I'm not really sure how to describe them, but I really did enjoy every mouthful until I hit the wall for being a piggy piggy and ordering too much and had to abandon. I'm not sure I'd order them again, as there was an awful lot going on, but at the same time, I don't regret ordering them for a second. All I can say is try them and decide for yourself.
Great selection of beer rarities and fantastically knowledgeable and genuinely friendly staff. The chef came out of the kitchen to keep me posted on how my order was progressing. Good touch. Chefs should do that more often.
Also, top tunes were being played at a decent volume. No sitars. No pan pipes. Top tunes.
Vegetarian food as it should be. Judging from the look on most people's faces, they thought so too. Except those who had to go somewhere else because the place was so busy.
