“Superb!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2012

We stayed here two nights, and loved it! Our bedroom was at the far end of the house, which meant we didn't have anyone abutting our room. The beds were so cozy we slept like babies! Best beds ever!

The owner was really friendly, and the breakfast she put out for everyone was superb! The fruit and berries were so fresh you'd swear she just picked them!

And the view from the balcony is nice too.

“Time for an update”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2011 via mobile

It seems that if you live in Banff and run a B&B it gives you a licence to charge what you want and think you can get away with it. This place certainly thinks it can. Well.....

The first and most obvious thing about this place is that the rooms needed to be updated badly. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. We one night unfortunately had to put up with a couple in a room above us going for it and they were oblivious to the fact they thought no one could hear. Wrong!!

The rooms were clean though and the bed comfortable just don't plan on sleeping in with the noise.

The bathroom was also clean and serviced daily along with our room. Our bathroom however did not have a power point. This is a simple necessity and a no brainer if you host people.

The common area with tv is not ideal because a guest room is right next to it and it makes an awkward situation at night.

I couldn't fault Rosemary or Peter for their willingness to help etc but they should probably re direct this energy into updating their establishment.

They do not have any Internet or wifi access. Hello we are in 2011!!!

What astounded me even more is that Rosemary during conversation stated she paid no attention to trip advisor reviews and claimed that hardly anyone used trip advisor so it didn't matter how they ran the B&B. Time for a reality check I think...

The icing on the cake was when she stated she and her husband used to run hotels so they knew what they were doing. Hardly believeable after our stay there.

If you are going to charge upwards of 140 a night you should be able to at least justify it. Sadly this place can not.

“Passing through Banff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2011

My boyfriend and I stayed at Rosemary and Peters B&B for only one night, but had a very comfortable nights sleep. We stayed in the Blue Spruce Room which has a separate private bathroom across the corridor. Both the bedroom and bathroom were great for our needs, and we had a very comfortable nights sleep - the pillows were really good!

When we arrived Rosemary showed us upstairs to a really lovely communal area with tea/coffee facilities and a TV.

Probably worth mentioning is that the Blue Spruce Room is below the communal area so you can hear the TV. This didn't bother us and it went quiet about 10.30-11pm. Whilst we were there breakfast was not served at the B&B but instead at the 'Timbers Restaurant' a short stroll (less than 5 minutes) from the B&B. Although we didn't realise this when we booked, this again was not a problem, and it gave us the flexibility to have breakfast any time between 8am-11am. It was also very good food, and generous portions!

Rosemary and Peter are lovely people, and were helpful in recommending places for dinner.

“We really enjoyed our stay at the property and would recommend to couples.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2011

We were allocated the underbuild area which was in essence a small apartment. the owners, Rosemary and Peter, were very nice and we were given a key for the apartment and were able to come and go as we pleased. Very close to town centre, 5 minutes from supermarket, excellent value for money.

Room Tip: The fact that we were underneath the other bedroom mean't that it could be a little noisy.

“Relaxing time in Banff at Treetops”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2011

We enjoyed 6 nights in Banff - Rosemary had put us in the downstairs suite which was extremely spacious and comfortable. It was great to be able to spread out after travelling for 3 weeks or so. It was also very handy to have equipped kitchen - made for a relaxed time.Treetops location meant it was an easy and enjoyable short walk to the town centre. Rosemary was most helpful with advice - from where to eat, things to do, laundry location, phone assistance - nothing was a problem. Overall we found Rosemary & Peter most welcoming, friendly and excellent hosts.
