“Great place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2012

This B&B was excellent. The breakfasts were as good as any I have ever had and Dave and Shirley are extremely nice and helpful. And you really can't beat the location, a beautiful waterfront property just five minutes from downtown Charlottetown.

My wife and I stayed two nights in boathouse b&b when we visited PEI last July. It is clean and the location is great. The breakfast is the best among all the b&b I stayed across Canada.

We stayed 4 night in mid Sept. and there is nothing negative about our visit. Dave and Shirley made you feel like old friends. They are the perfect host, the breakfast was so yummy and you never went away hungry. It is a central location and you can see almost all of the island from here in a day. After a day of sight seeing you could relax in the comfortable of their home. I have told all my friends if they are ever lucky enough to go to PEI the Boathouse is the place to stay.

We had an outstanding three night stay....the hosts (Shirley & Dave) could not have been more accomodating and their breakfasts were excellent! Their home is a wonder to experience and gives you the feeling of staying in your own spacious vacation home. We hae stayed in many B & B's in Canada and the United States and this is at the top of our list!!!

There has been no stinting to the renovations this one-time boathouse has undergone. The highly polished hardwood floors steer the eyes to across the bay to Charlottetown's waterfront. Guests are welcomed to take a chair in the open area that contains kitchen, breakfast table and lounge, or descend the spiral staircase to the den below. We felt we were welcome to have the run of the house. There were even a couple of kayaks that could be taken out when the tide was in. Our room was in the front, very quiet, and beatifully appointed with top of the line fixtures in the bathroom, especially the tiled shower. Breakfast was positively gourmet, starting with a peeled, cooked pear drenched in a light syrup. Quite superb. Dave and Shirley are first class hosts.

Room Tip: The front room was possibly the smallest but that didn't matter a bit.

We stayed at the Master's Suite for four nights in September - fine bed, jacuzzi and private deck. The house/furniture has lots of style, it is in a quiet residential area with superb views towards Charlottetown across the river which can be accessed conveniently by car (fine dining there). In summary, no faults whatsoever, the hosts are pleasant & interesting people, we very much enjoyed our stay.

Only stayed one night but was extremely impressed. It is only minutes from downtown Charlottetown but is very quiet and calming. Stayed in a room with two twin beds, perfect for my Mom and I. Our hosts were charming and most helpful. The property is beautiful and absolutely spotless. Breakfast was fabulous, I will recommend it to everyone and will definitely plan to visit again.
