Being a native Japanese, I may not be able to recognize alphabet characters fast enough to begin with. But I had very difficult times to read the traffic boards along the highways, namely on the Icefield Highway. To me the boards were too small in size, consequently the characters appeared on them were very hard to be made out when I was crusing at about 90 km/h. In Japan, we have traffic boards in larger size with larger characters. And they are highlighted by high power lights so that you can recognize them from considerably long distance out. The size of you traffic boards were propably decided by environmental considerations, but it was true that I missed more than couple of exits.

The Rockies are in my own backyard and I love them. My husband and I travel to Jasper Park twice a year and once a year to Banff. We've been doing that for 30 years and never, never get tired of the mountains. We have an RV, so we take our bikes and kayak and dog and just relax. Do a little hiking or high altitude scuba diving. Yes, scuba diving but bring your dry suit as it's a bit chilly for you warm water divers.
Highly recommend repeat visits as there is so much to see and do.

Well i went to banff and lake louise in the summer of 2000 and it was amazing. my sister was working in lake louise at the time so we went to visit her and the sites there were amazing. the glaciers are an amazing site for anyone even if you dont like sites you will never forget what they look like they are so amazing. we allso went to banff. The area around the golf course is so nice even if you dont like golf just go and take a drive around there are roads around and its well worth it. and if you do have alot of time on your trip just go and wonder around drive on the back streets there are some amazing views all over the place.
