“Great family ski trip!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

We went skiing at Louise with the family on New Years day. Got to the hill around 8:45 and there was no one there!!! Everyone must have been sleeping off the party from the night before! This is the second time we have skied here and found that this time was the best by far. The day was sunny and it was very quiet. There were a few icy patches here and there but it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. We skied the front main face for the first part of the morning and then skied the back in the afternoon. Went with the kids (11 and 13) and the whole family was able to ski together the whole day. The youngest is strictly on green runs and he was able to go everywhere with us, he just took his time. He really liked the chair on the main face. The runs were a little easier here than from the gondola. There was a lot of room for eating lunch and getting a table was not an issue. We never buy lunch at these places. Always just bring our own and if you get there early enough, you can leave your lunch in your car and then just go out and get it later. Friends of ours leave their lunch backpack in the lodge and have never had a problem with that. It's always there when they need it. The bunny hill is probably the best I've seen. They have changed it now from a t-bar to a magic carpet. Much easier for the beginner skier. The greens are more challenging then I thought they would be but you just have to take your time on them. We really enjoyed our time there and will definitely go back again!

“Great ski resort”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

Staff are always friendly and helpful. Food is always great in the cafeteria and bar upstairs. Good snow for the most part except the Larch run. Usually 75% ice.

“They don't seem to ever change anything about this place!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013

Went snowboarding for the day at Louise on a Ski Trip out west and found it to be very disappointing. The place I guess is a money pit so they never seem to invest in anything new for the resort. Prices are exhorbitant at the lodges, the place is usually over run with people from Calgary, and the runs are typically pretty icey on the front side. On the plus side the views are great and absolutely stunning. One odd note is that there is no cell reception with Rogers by the Larch and Ptarmigan lifts...kind of odd for a big resort.

If you want to get to the top view at Lake Louise Ski Area, take the Gondola ride to the top, it was awesome

“Icy”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013

Hated my day there. Icy runs polished smooth by huge amount of snowboarders . Too many people and NOBODY takes any notice of the SLOW SKIING areas. There should be stricter controls on speed and the ski Patrollers need to make their presence felt ! !
