“Unique Lake, but very crowded”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013

You shouldn't miss lake Louise when in Banff National park area. However, lots of tourists even very early in the morning. Stunning green lake. Make sure to hike to Agnes Teahouse or the six glaciers teahouse, shouldn't be missed. Trail starts at the far end of the lake.

“The Gem of the rockies”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

We return year after year to Lake Louise. It is truly the Gem of the rockies. There are so many trails in the area to hike, if you are into that sort of thing. There is the Chateau to visit, with its shops and restaurants. Then there is the lake itself, you can rent a canoe and paddle around. The end of the lake has Victoria glacier towering above the lake and is an ublievable view.
I've hiked many of the mountains around Lake Louise and will continue to do so until I have done them all.

“Great day out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013

My husband and I went to Lake Louise for our 3rd visit a couple of days ago. The ice sculptures were still there and still in good condition. They were really good to look at.
Lake Louise is a good place to visit at any time of the year. Just be aware that everything there is expensive. If you want a snack, then go to the small cafe, which is in one corner of the hotel, rather than one of the main resturants.
We went on the Horse drawn sleigh ride, which was great fun.
If you like ice skating, this time of year there is an ice rink on the lake itself, for which theres no charge (unless you need to hire skates).

“Breathtaking!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013 via mobile

Amazing view. There were people skating on the lake. There was also a group that were cross country skiing. The ice sculptures were amazing.

“Bit busy but worth it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

Enjoyed a day trip out to Lake Louise from Calgary to view the Ice Sculptures well worth the journey. The little community was very busy as it was a gorgeous day, however it was well worth the trip. After walking through and seeing all the sculptures we did enjoy a terrific lunch at the Chateau which was absolutely fabulous!
