“Best B+B ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2012

I have stayed at Glebe End several times for work. It is the only b+b that i actually look forward to staying at (there have been many over the years), generally preferring my own home. It is guaranteed to be scrupulously clean, is perfectly quiet and i always feel completely safe. Sheila always welcomes you with delicious homemade biscuits and never forgets that i'm a little bit fussy and like fruit tea rather than the regular stuff. Breakfast is fabulous and if i feel guilty about the full (locally sourced) english breakfast she is always happy to make me some porridge as a less indulgent start to the day.

I always sleep well here. Sheila and William are always very welcoming and i do not hesitate to recommend Glebe End to my friends.

Room Tip: There is only one - but its a good one!

Well, what can I say about this little corner of greatness tucked out of the way, I dont think this box is big enough.
This B&B is down the end of a residential street, tucked nicely out of the way and with unobstructed views to the surrounding countryside. Sheila and William make you so welcome and honestly you feel like your a friend of theirs and not a paying guest, they cannot do enough for you and are very accomodating.
We were at a wedding and the times of our arrival was flexible, so a quick call to them and they were fine telling us to just give them a ring nearer the time and they would be waiting.
We got to the B&B and it felt like we were just going home, the room itself is on the side of their house in a specially converted room, you have a massive room, which can sleep upto 5, a large comfy bed, sofa, TV, en-suite with modern facilties, and some amazing home made biscuits.
Sheila gave us some fresh milk for the brews, put the heating on to make the room toasty warm, and we just chilled out infront of the TV with freeview TV. The night before you order breakfast, including oat cakes, we chose the full English.
When you have breakfast you have a seperate conservatory that you go into which has beautiful views out into the country. The breakfast was big and hearty, including all local products from within a few miles of the B&B, this is such a lovely touch and was delicious.
Sheila and William were there in the morning and we talked with them and had a laugh for over an hour, they got us some local guide books and even printed off something off the internet for us as we were sight seeing on the Sunday.
Overall an impressive B&B, very welcoming, comfy, clean and we will be staying there again as we felt like friends rather than another guest!
Thanks to them both.

Room Tip: only one room to choose but what a room
