Description: Situated on the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire's 35,000 acre Chatsworth Estate, Ideally located for a relaxing getaway when visiting Chatsworth House and Gardens. It offers the charm and character of an historic inn with a contemporary Brasserie which is modern, bright and relaxing while the Inn is cosy and inviting. The Malt Vault houses 'the Malt Vault Table' which can seat up to 12 people and is ideal for a more private celebration. The 14 bedrooms are chic and comfortable and a perfect spot to enjoy a stay on the heart of the Chatsworth Estate. Chatsworth is one of Britain's best loved historic houses and estates. There is something for everyone to enjoy: from famous works of art and new exhibitions to landscaped gardens and spectacular fountains. The house, garden, farmyard, adventure playgrounds, gift shops and farm shop offer a delightful day out for all the family. The magnificent landscape and pretty little villages of Derbyshire's Peak District National Park offer miles of free walks, and the Chatsworth Farm Shop is just a short walk away selling fresh local produce, much of which is used on the menu at The Devonshire Arms.

“Great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

great produce, well prepared meals in a charming old pub near chatsworth. went for lunch- the sea bream and poussin were tasty. Desserts were slow ( 30 minutes) but tasted good. Despite this I still think it deserves a 5 rating but care needs to be taken not to let service standards slip.

“Wonderful local produce and imaginative dishes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

After a full day at Chatsworth we were delighted to eat exquisitely presented dishes from an imaginative menu using produce from the estate. A world away from the average modern pub food from an overlong menu that we had experienced the previous night, thank goodness. And the five and two year old members of our group were made welcome and enjoyed a chowder followed by samples from adult plates... Two of us had mutton and capers, one had spicy hamburger with sage derby cheese and one of us had a trio of salmon cooked three ways. Our grandchildren appreciate adult food... But if you want a kids menu this is probably not for your children. The starters were all divine too. Marvellous end to a sunny bank holiday before driving back south towards London.

“Nice, not spectacular”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2013

Our meal was good but not outstanding. The pub is very attractive. Because we had not booked, we were lucky to get a table and had a nice meal. Service was very good.

“Lovely food / Good service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2013

Beautiful Sunday lunch, good quality of food which you can watch being prepared from the right table. A nice selection of wine, stylish decor and good service. Not the cheapest however.
