While the scenery is stunning, the lodge itself is not. We had booked a cabin, but were given a room instead, with no explanation. After complaining, we were moved to a cabin, but is was on the whim of the receptionist. There doesn't appear to be a method behind room allocation. As for yhe installations, the zip line and pools were OK, the mini-golf was in poor shape, and there were long lines to take the horse rides.
But the low point of our (overpriced) stay was the buffet food service. It was simply awful. The food was bland, with overcooked meat and few options. And it typically ran out about half way through the mealtime. The day we got there, we were half an hour late to lunch and there was no meat left. The cook said we couldn't expect there to be any food that late, even though there was nominally time left for the buffet. We made a point of arriving early to dinner, and the same thing happened half-way through the mealtime. And again at breakfast the next day.
Overall, we were not impressed.
