The An Grianan is absolutely fantastic. We had our wedding reception here on the 2.8.11. I cannot give enough plaudits to the hotel. The staff were attentive, polite and so welcoming. We never felt an incovenience leading up to the wedding, even if they were busy setting up for a huge wedding. The actual day was better than I can imagine. I cannot express our gratitude towards the staff at the hotel hence writing this review. They made us feel so special and helped make our day a day we will never forget. All our friends and family who stayed at the hotel have told us how impressed they were with the accomodation, the cleanliness, the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff and their williness to always make you feel important. I would like to say a special thank you to Walter, Deirdre and Patricia for making the day a very special occassion. We look forward to spending our anniversary at the hotel next year. Thank you to all the staff at the An Grianan.

Our daughter was married here on Monday 4th July 2011. The marriage ceremony took place in the hotel as did the reception. The day was perfect thanks to Walter, Patricia, Mandy and all the staff . The attention to detail was applaudable, as was the food and service. Nothing was too much trouble.
As we are welsh a large number of guest travelled to Ireland for the wedding and it was great to have everybody in the same hotel. From the time we all arrived on the Sunday until we left on Tuesday the staff were fantastic. Some of our guests had young babies and children. These were easily accommodated with staff organising whatever we asked for with baby sitters cots etc. Again nothing seemed too much trouble. The wedding was a memorable occasion made all the more special by having it at An Grianan. Well done and thanks to you all

Room Tip: The rooms I saw were clean tidy and spacious. We did not spend much of our time in the rooms but the...

We had our reception here on June 9th 2011.
All of our guests that we have spoken to have agreed that it is one of the best venues that they have experienced.
From the General Manager to the Cleaners, all of the staff were fantastic, very courteous and professional.
The whole day was made all the more special because of the input from the staff ,all of whom seemed to continually go the extra mile.
The rooms and all of the food were excellent.
We thought the whole package was excellent value for money and we had a totally stress free day (once the speeches were over!)

They could bring the corkage charge down a tad!!

If you want a perfect venue for your wedding...look no further!.

An Grianan Hotel is a beautifull hotel in Burt Co Donegal with modern facilities with a fantastic function room. We decided to use it as a conference facility to launch our project.
We were made welcome from the start by Patricia, the functions manager. We negotiated a good deal for food & beverages & were given the large function room for our event launch.
Our instructions on layout & spacing were followed as we required & the layout was perfect. The wide corridors & disabled toilets were easily accesable for our users.
We had tea & coffee on arrival in the spacious foyer before entering the grand function room.
Walter & his team were fantastic with their attention to detail & assistance throughout the day. This included the receptionists & banqueting staff who were very welcoming & professional throughout the day. Not to mention quickly dealing with our numerous requests.
The sandwiches & buffet food lunch were excellent & the beverages were fresh & hot.
Our service users are people with disabilities & they were made to feel very welcome & the venue was suitable to their needs.
On behalf of us all I would like to thank Patricia, Walter & all the staff at An Grianan Hotel...See you again soon.

Just got back from a wedding at this hotel ,the bedrooms were spacious and looked like they had been newly refurbished, the only gripes I would have are there was no fridge in the room and no make up mirror in the bathroom ,and the roof outside of room 219 could do with a good clean ,it was not very nice looking out of the window and being faced with cigarette ends and empty beer bottles ,room 205 had a similar view of a lot of empty bottles that had just been thrown out of the window .We took a while to find a hair dryer and had to ring reception and was told it was in the dressing table drawer,so check there first! (It is actualy a fitting inside the drawer ) Also for people staying in the summer I saw no evidence of any air conditioning .
There was an incident on our first night during the very early hours due to another wedding party getting very out of hand all over the hotel but a quick call down to reception and security were sent up to the bedrooms and defused the situation .
The staff at the hotel were all very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble ,We ate in the Church restaurant on the first night and enjoyed it very much,It was a lovely room and very quaint ,we ate there again the following two mornings for breakfast which was excellent and the log fire was very welcome even in June!
Overall we had a lovely stay and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel .

Room Tip: Some Rooms @ back have extractors outside windows
