My grandparents are Lebanese and occasionally I get nostalgic for the food. Seldom do I find restaurants that satisfy the memory of the most typical dishes of my childhood. While in Puerto Vallarta, needing a change of cuisine, my friends and I went to Eddy's Place, which did not quite fulfill my promise to them of Lebanese specialties. A couple days later we went to Mediterraneo to find my spirits lifted. We began with bread spread with delectable herbs set on the table, continued on with kibbe, hummus, Tabouli, little stuffed cabbages (to die for), and yummy lamb skewers. I was in heaven. All complemented with a luscious wine. We finished with an ambrosia of rose ice cream with actual petals. I am convinced the owner must be my distant cousin! Lol
