“AMAZING - 7 Course Tasting Meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2012

An amazing restaurant. We enjoyed their 7 Course Tasting Meal so much we went again 2 nights later (!). Another pair of diners were exclaiming how good their meals were, and said if they were staying longer on vacation they'd eat there every night. We live here, and feel Nicksan - by far - is the best restaurant in Greater Vallarta. Outstanding flavors and sauces. The waiters and service is so friendly, bi-lingual, and they make a terrific dining experience even better. Sitting outside by the fountain is relaxing, our favorite spot.

“Upscale Sushi - Funky Menu”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2012

Expensive but good sushi, some of the rolls were weird and you have to ask what's in everything because the menu doesn't say it. They have some traditional rolls, but don't expect a full sushi menu like at home. The appetizer with raw tuna and avocado is amazing, and in my opinion, the best thing on the menu. We had some other rolls that I can't remember the name, but I think the Spicy Japango roll was one that we liked. They had interesting drinks as well, one was a very good lychee martini, and the other I wasn't so into because it looked like dirty water. For 4 people, ordering 2 drinks each, one tuna appetizer each, and one roll each, the bill came out to be around $200. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the bathrooms were very nice. It's pretty much the only place in Nuevo Vallarta and it's a place I'd go back to if I were staying in Nuevo again.

“Excellent Sushi!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2012

This was definitely an upscale sushi restaurant. The sushi is top grade, presented beautifully and absolutely worth the price paid. We sat on the outside patio, next to the decorative pond with fountains - really nice. Try the Tuna Tostada - delicious! You can actually make a meal out of several of them alone. The Sashimi Cilantro was also incredible. One of our best meals this trip!

“Get ready to be fleeced!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2012

Prices are unbelievably expensive! Especially for Nuevo Vallarta. Be prepared to pay an average of $20 per roll / small plate. You will need at least 3 to 4 plates plus a few appies and dessert for a full meal. Food was good, but miniscule portions. Explains why the place was so empty (aside from staff).
No reservations required here!!
