the best hotel in the Riviera Nayarit. I loved it, highly recommended for families. delicious food, drink well, tequila, vodka, both enjoy this hotel. and want to go back next year. the rooms very comfortable, fresh, spacious.
and a very comfortable hotel with private beach. very good snack. especially recommend the gala dinner in the restaurant drake. Will definitely go when I can. a very pleasant experience.

Our family loved our one bedroom suite with a great balcony and a great view! My husband and I had a large bedroom with a dresser, a closet, a window, and air conditioning. We also had two beds (which we didn't need) The one complaint would be the very hard mattress . Our three teenagers were very happy sleeping in the living room on three futons. With the full kitchen and table, we were able to eat in when we wanted since we didn't have the all inclusive meals. We don't regret that, but in June, there really isn't a lot of places close by to eat. We took a bus to Walmart and bought food for our fridge or we ate in Puerto Vallarta. This actually worked well for us cause we didn't want to eat so much, but the food they served for the all inclusive did look good. You could pick and pay for a meal one day at a time too. We were so very very happy with the buffet breakfast that stayed open til 11:30 am! Ask for directions for the little mall that is close by where you could also eat. The pools were great and so was the very clean and beautiful beach. Warm ocean swimming and the bananna boat ride a must! LOL. The best thing about this hotel was the people. Everyone is so very friendly and really work to make your stay comfortable. Special shout outs to Edgar the towel and music guy (tell him hello from Rachel), Hugo, who we renamed Sonrisa (which means smiley or sunrise) and a couple of others who worked there but we didn't get their names. We were probably the only "white" people staying here, so we were able to sharpen our Spanish! This is not your snooty high end hotel. It lends for a relaxing, enjoyable, friendly, happy music playing, older Mexican style decor, great vacation! Our family would love to return.

Me and 6 of my friends just got back from Villa Varadero from a weeklong trip. Not that it's a bad thing, but we were pretty much the only english speaking tourists at the resort, so it felt a little exclusive. Definitely have a lot of locals eating and staying at the hotel. We were pretty disappointed about how far away it is from downtown Puerta Vallarta where all the fun bars and shops/markets are. The website says it is just a 20 minute drive, but keep in mind that that's if you take a taxi (around $380 pesos each way). We took the city bus one day (around $16 pesos each way) and it took about an hour to get into town, so then we ended up spending a ton of money on taxis, since there aren't really any restuarants around the hotel. We had the all-inclusive deal which I would say is below-par for food quality. The breakfast was the best meal of the day, so eat up lol...
On the plus side - the hotel staff is excellent! They are all extremely helpful and willing to make your stay great. Me and my friends are drinkers and made good friends with JP at the pool bar, who makes the drinks strong and has good conversation.
If you are looking for a getaway from the busy city then I would recommend staying here. If you are wanting to party and be near what's happening in Puerta Vallarta, pay more and stay closer to the city!

This hotel is small but nice. The rooms are nothing fancy but they were clean and the view is great. The stretch of beach is pretty, but not as nice as PV. The hotel is located in Nuevo Nayarit which is not close to downtown PV. If the intentions of your trip are to visit the Malecon and experience what PV has to offer - stay somewhere closer.

The area around the hotel (shopping, clubs, etc.) is non-existent. You will have to take a taxi or bus to get to the fun areas. Taxis aren't cheap to get to the good stuff, but the bus routes are easy to learn and really inexpensive.
