My friends kept telling me about their favorite place to dine during our vacation in Nuevo Vallarta so we went there for my birthday .The ambiance is garden like setting with outdoor feel and music. We sat at the amazing bar which had a variety of tequilas . They served me an amazing tamarind margarita for the first time . The menu had great dishes ,we ordered delicious Huachinango for dinner . The staff is fun and friendly with great customer service .
I had such a wonderful time that I went back a few times ! Every time was Excellent !!!!
Loved it ,plan on going back !!!

“Wonderful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2013

Wonderful garden restaurant full of small palm trees. Service was great, nice live guitar music. The meals were fantastic. The Dorado in veracruz tomato sauce was superb, the pasta carbonara was very good. We will definitely be back again. Also the prices are reasonable.

“Always Great”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2013

We haven't eaten here since our last trip 18 months ago - and loved it once again tonight. The ambiance is great, the specials were wonderful and the service was great (not rushed). The coconut tiramisu (spelling) was phenomenal. LOVE this place.

“Lovely night atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2013

At night the glowing colorful Chinese lanterns hanging from the trees lure you right inside. The Riveria Grill has a soothing ambience with a garden setting and a guitarist providing a backdrop of light music. We have visited twice in the past few weeks and our service has been paced about right. We had the most entertaining waiter that gave us Spanish lessons throughout the dinner. The menu has variety with more veggie options than most Mexican restaurants. Food was tasty. When leaving the first time we received a pineapple, on the second visit they gave us a small watermelon and some grapefruit. How fun is that- some breakfast food!

“Enjoyable Dinner and atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2013

We liked the immediate, warm welcome by the wonderful hostess and the garden feel of the outdoor tables. There were guitarists playing Mexican music as a nice background - not too loud or in your face, or campy (you know how some restaurants want everyone to have a party? This was more a calm, classy feel)
We liked the different options for dinner - Mediterranean, Italian, and Mexican. I ordered the fresh snapper special which was very good - but it made me really happy when I asked if I could substitute the rice with their house made pasta instead. Husband ordered light - Caesar salad with grilled chicken. Son enjoyed the enchiladas, and my daughter got a such a huge portion of steak fajitas it looked like she didn't even make a dent. Ordered chocolate cake and the guava cheesecake. I don't like my chocolate cake adulterated with berry jam in the middle - give me chocolate with chocolate please. But we all liked the other dessert, which was more like a pudding, It was not too sweet but light and tasty to end our filling meal.
The cost was about $25/person and the atmosphere was a little more upscale than others we went to - still casual but had more of a "nice occasion" feel to it.
