Came here the first night we stayed in Nuevo Vallarta, it's almost all outdoors with table seating, huge bar and live music. Fish tacos and mixed chicken/shrimp tacos were sooo good. Bartender very nice, relaxed, and romantic place.
After visiting this restaurant a couple of times last year, we decided to go again. Big mistake - the head chef was not working, just the sous chefs...............although the restaurant setting is lovely with a great mexican feel, the food was terrible - we had the mixed green salad, with a raspberry vinegarette - the oil tasted stale. The cesar salad was mushy, For our main meal, we had the Chicken Enchiladas - it was very bland.
Although one could use the excuse that the head chef was off that night, we should have been advised up front - instead we were served this food. I will not return to this restaurant.

This is an easy walk from Paradise Village. I had chicken mole (excellent!) and my husband had fajitas. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice, food is good, BUT the owner's father sat at the table right next to us (there was not one other table occupied at the time) and YELLED on his cell phone during our entire meal. We did complain to the waiter, but what can he do about it? He told us that there have been many complaints and they talk to him, but by the next day he is back at it. No thank you...we never returned. There are many, many great restaurants nearby that we can visit.

The outdoor seating with the garden setting and the service were great as well as the margarita. The food was only average. The vegetables in the fajitas were your standard peppers and onions, nothing to write home about and worst if your a vegetarian.
We just returned from a week in Nuevo Vallarta. We had eaten at the Riviera Grill in 2010 and were looking forward to a return dinner. We were not disappointed. Everyone liked what they ordered. I had the seafood pasta, which was delicious. I didn't come to Mexico to get pasta, but the waiter said the chef is Italian and makes some good pasta dishes - he was right. Others had Mexican or seafood items and left with smiles on their faces. Even the kids (7, 5, and 3) were happy. A nice selection of tequilas, margaritas, and wines made for a nice evening. The setting is pleasant and they have a nice bar with TVs. We highly recommend Riviera Grill!
