“Paradise Village is one of the best "family" vacation spots in Mexico and offers fantastic "all inclusive" value.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012 via mobile

This is the 4th family visit to this resort in 2 years. Paradise Village provides for quick + easy access to and from airport in Puerto Vallarta. WestJet Vacations is very well organized and professional. Transportation provided by small vans instead of large tour buses which avoids multiple stops to other resorts. (Option to take a cab for 150 pesos/ 1 way). Checkin and checkout has improved. (Could still be better to accomodate the crowds.) Rooms are spotless. Resort is really clean. Free WiFi in hotel lobby and pool areas. Main pool area is huge, accomodates a kiddy area, and features 2 massive "alligator" water slides for the kids and adults! Beach is massive and clean but Palapa areas could be raked more frequently. Water in Banderas Bay is warmer than the pool in November and offers great boogy boarding for all ages! Great variety of Theme nights throughout the week and are all very well organized and the food is consistently good. Always the option to opt out of Theme night for a quality quiet dinner at the Tulum restaurant. (Waiter- Sebastian is top notch and so is the food !). Beach waiter (Carlos) is one of the best and knows what service is all about ! This resort vacation caters to all ages. Family always feels safe. Great mix of people and nationalities. Chalk this vacation up for another memorable experience !

The resort is very nice and very well maintained. The rooms are beautiful. Do your best to avoid the time share presentation as it is a hard sell and can ruin 1/2 a day of your vacation. Also they don't provide what I would consider are basic Timeshare basics for the rooms, like dish soap and paper towels. The restaurants are pricey but their are nearby restaurants. Down side is that this resort is far removed from downtown Puerto Vallarta. But do try the buses and the for sure the water taxi.

Room Tip: Beach side and farther up are best

I want to make this helpful, so will write in bullet points;
This is very much a RESORT, you might as well be on any beach in the world and won't feel in Mexico, so just depends what you want of your vacation, its not romantic and the rooms are very simple. There's only wifi in the lobby.
It feels like the hotel staff aren't helpful in recommendations as they just want to keep you spending in the hotel.
The air conditioners and the dehumidifiers in the room were very loud!
- When you land, just walk right through the mess of and get a taxi outside the airport. 10-15$ is a good price 15-20 is OK but high and over 20 is a rip off.
- When you check in don't immediately get an all inclusive package, wait to see the bar and hotel restaurant prices, to see if you can spend that much.
- Ask for the drinks prepaid voucher, like 33$ for 10 drinks its a good saving on cocktails and stuff from the beach bars.
- You have 2 banks by the hotel, one in the mall and a second in the medical center.
- The beach and the hotel bars on the beach are great, with good food as well.
- Happy hour is from 16:00.
- Don't shop at the supermarket in the mall beside the hotel, there's a Wal Mart!
- Getting to Wal Mart, you can take a taxi for 70-100 Pesos of the Bus from the mall (very easy) for 13.5 pesos. And come back with a taxi.
- Going to town, Cheapest and best is to take the bus to Wal Mart and a Taxi into town, coming back from town take a taxi for about 200 pesos total.
- 4 great restaurants, Il Piscatore (you can put on your room) 3 minutes from the hotel, Porto Bello very nice Italian 30 minute walk or 35 pesos taxi, Prime 159 good meat 30 min walk or 35 pesos taxi, Barcelona Tapas in town (AMAZING).
- Do the 2 hour presentation from the time shares and try to get as many free things, Vallarta adventures, golf and so on.

Room Tip: Over the pool may be loud and get to much sun.

We recently returned from Paradise Village in Nuevo Vallarta. We own a different timeshare in Puerto Vallarta but decided to visit Paradise Village based on a recommendation from a family friend. We found the resort to be very family friendly. The pools were great, especially the one with the two water slides. The staff was nice - especially Sergio Lopez (one of the poolside waiters). The beaches are fantastic compared to the Puerto Vallarta part of the bay. The only downsides were the food - good but not great with the exception of one meal that was outstanding. The rooms were nice but we did not have ocean view rather marina view. We would consider returning again.

Room Tip: I would recommend an ocean view room.

Stay: Nov 3-10, 2012- Coba Tower - Room #3631 Two bedroom unit:
Bedrooms: Only front master bedroom has access to deck/view, bathroom was awkwardly laid out, could not turn on water without stepping into tub because 2nd door access was block by counter top – single sink, no vanity, tub was 4x4” tiles so not so inviting to bathe. Back bedroom had to double beds, no window – no view, bathroom has: shower only, poor lighting, washer/dryer. Plenty of closet space in both, only master bedroom had safe for valuable.
Kitchen: Single tub sink so more difficult to wash dishes by hand, you will need to get your own dish soap, sponge, scrubber and dishwasher tablets. No kitchen bowls for preparation of meals, only very small soup bowls available. Pots and Pans – you WILL NEED PAM or spend your vacation time soaking/scrubbing several times.
Room View: 6th floor provided unobstructed view above palm trees, a panorama of marina and glimpse view of ocean to right of deck. Coming and going of various size boats, men fishing in marina, pelicans on docks and diving into water. View quite resort walkway that parallels private access marina boat slips. Sunrise view of city, marina and other high rises, lights are beautiful at night. Deck is shaded from intense afternoon head but still toasty.
Maid service: Make sure to use your Do Not Disturb card and dead bolt if you don’t want them to unexpectedly open you door in the morning when they are doing their rounds.
Weather: 89-91F, clear, hot, cool breeze off beach front.
Grounds: Nicely maintained but facilities show some wear and tear.
Timeshare: The promise that it will only take 90 minutes is more like 3 hours. They say they are not high pressure like others that is true but this is offset by their TAG TEAM tactics. If the first representative doesn’t get you to buy-in then they hand you off to the next. I personally met with 6 different representatives before they accepted ‘I am not interested in purchasing ‘points’. But they did ‘in the very long end’ give us the promised promotion agreed upon promotional perks after the orientation gauntlet concluded 3+ hours later.
I would not purchase and would not return to Paradise Village based on the facilities primarily.
The entire resort staffs members were very helpful and did everything within their scope to help make your stay enjoyable – they get 5 stars for their efforts.

Room Tip: The first room they tried to give us with marina view was in the main lobby tower. This unit was on...

We have been Members at Paradise Village for 17 years and have always enjoyed our stay there. The service personnel have always been very helpful. Especially the waiters at the beach and pool. One waiter in particular, Sergio Rangel is very professional and caring. we look forward to seeing him every year. He is like An old friend. The resort itself is fantastic. They have several great restaurants and bars. The beach is one of the best in Puerto Vallarta. The resort is very close to several great Restaurants and attractions in the area. I would highly recommend Paradise Village to any one looking for a short get away or membership in a fantastic resort.

After settling down from the gauntlet of solicitors at the Airport, we found Paradise Village to be a great vacation spot. The service from the staff on site was superb and made every aspect of our stay a great experience. Awesome pool with fun activities. Tequila volleyball was especially fun. Very family friendly environment as well. All onsite dining was excellent, although venturing downtown or to small communities offsite should be experienced as well for a truly authentic visit. We had many good memories and hope to get back soon.
