Each time I go to Puerto Vallarta, we stay at Paradise Village and are usually exhausted by dinner time the first day. When we first starting going, most of the resort restaurants were a disappointment so when Il Pescatore opened, we gave it a chance. It has a calm, relaxing atmosphere with the marina just a few feet away. Most of the seafood dishes have fettucini alfredo as the "side dish" and the first few times we went, I thought it was possibly the best I'd ever had. Our experience on our previous trip wasn't as positive as usual so this time we were a bit hesitant. My companion had a shrimp pasta with a curry and white sauce and it was very good. I chose the catch of the day and it was also very tasty. The fettucini wasn't quite as good as those early years, but was still above average. The wine list is one of the better ones I've seen in Mexico. When you're tired and don't want to make a trip into Puerto, this is a good alternative.
