We took 3 trips with Vallarta Adventures. Buy 2 get one free. We did the Dolphin Adventure, Extreme Adventure and Sea Safari. All great! I reviewed the 1st 2 already. There was no separate place to review sea safari, so I'll do that here. The sea safari was lead by our guide "Poncho". He was lively and made sure everyone was comfortable throughout the trip. You took a boat to this little village. You suited up for the horses and walked to the stream where the horses were. They choice the horse best for you. These horses are HIGHLY trained. I got on and away we went this horse has done this before ;) Very rare did the horse trot or go fast. Only if someone made it go fast. The trail was a good one not flat at all, so it was a good adventure. You stopped at a stream and walked to the waterfall and snack area. They kind of force you to order something. Didn't like that, but whatever it's minor. You went down the rocks to the waterfall area and swam in the FREEZING cold water. I got in just for the photo and jumped right out. My husband and girls swam a bit. Then we got a free snack of fruit which was good fruit, better than my hotel. We got back on the boat and went to the snorkeling area, about 10 minutes away. You got out for 10 minutes to snorkel. If you didn't snorkel you stayed on the boat which was very rocky and made you nauseous. I only snorkeled for a bit and got on the boat. It was not a good idea. I made it, but was very sick feeling. We then went to another small village. There we had a BBQ lunch. It was fabulous. The best food I had on the whole trip. Sad, really. There was veggies, potatoes, rice mustard chicken and steak. Yum, Yum. There were drinks made by Poncho (I think, I thought I saw him making them). Then you could swim in the ocean. The waves were ruff that day, so only light swimming happened that day for us. Before we left there were coconuts opened to drink from. The coconut water was refreshing. Then we got on the boat for a 45 minutes trip back.
Vallarta Adventures have well runned trips, with an energetic staff. The owner has coined the adventure industry here! oh the best part...free wifi in the main section of the vallarta adventure place. Out hotel tried to get us at $21 a day. ridiculous! We sat in the area uploading photos from our hotel adventures and messaging on facebook and instagram. Got some emails in too. Again fabulous trips!
