I wnet to Nuevo Vallarta from 10/17-10/24/09. I read many reviews on Eddie's Place. Most of the reviews said that they found out about this restaraunt/bar at the end of their trip and if they knew about prior they would have went there more than once.

Taking this advice we went to Eddie's Place the first night we were in town. Eddie's Place is a short walk from the Grand Mayan and even shorter if you stay at Sea Gardens.

All the reviews were accurate...Eddie's is awesome with great food, drinks and atmosphere. Between four people we all ate there three times. The first night a friend and I had the Mexican Plate. Truely authentic Mexican cuisine. My fiance had the shrimp fajitas and another friend had the grilled chicken. We also had nachos and thier salsa is fresh and possibly the best in all of Puerto Vallarta. You have to try a XL Margarita. Eddie makes them himself and serves them with a smile every time. Eddie will also give you the rundown on the different kinds of tequilia.

The second night I had the steak fajitas and my fiance had the mahi-mahi fajitas. It was so delicious I had to order a second order of fajitas and tried the shrimp just to make sure they were as good as the first night. They were. The drink of choice for this night was the Eddie's Bahamas. A Mexican rum punch. Awesome!!!!

The third meal was breakfast on the last day we were in town. I had the french toast and a breakfast burrito. Two others also had varrying breakfast burritos. They were all delicious. The frozen coffee drinks that were made at the bar were very tasteful. Even the chocolate milk and fresh juices were to die for. The prices were more than reasonable at atleast half the cost of resort food and the service was great.

As for the atmosphere...Eddie is awesome. He has sattelite TV and was more than willing to put the Philadelphia Phillies games on for me at night. Needless to say the Phillies were 3-0 against the LA Dodgers when I watched them at Eddie's Place. By the time you get there Eddie will have added on additional dining room area. Look for the Phillies rally towel I gave Eddie as a tokien of my appreciation.

Don't miss this place you will regret it!!!!

My family and I went twice, the food is really authentic, the smooties are delicious and Eddie was a wonderful and very accommodating.

My only regret is that we didn't discover it earlier on our vacation, we would've probably eaten there every night.

Not only was the food delish, meeting Eddie was equally as fantastic! I ate there for dinner twice and lunch once in the 6 days I was in Mexcio. I had the Mexcian food one night and Mediterrean the next. Both were fantastic! Being from Michigan, i eat a lot of Med food. Eddie's kabobs are better than any restaraunt in Dearborn, MI!
My dad throughly enjoyed chatting with Eddie, hence why we went back so often! This is a great place, makes you feel like you are at home, even though you are far away. I would recommend this to everyone! Actually, we did recommend to some friends in our hotel. They ended up eating at Eddie's twice!

People, if you want great food w/great drinks served by a great person then you must eat here!!! The tacos and grilled fajitas that my girlfriend and i shared were top of the line.. not to mention the tasty blueberry and mango margarita we had made by Eddie. Come for great food and drinks and im sure you'll stay all night being entertained by Eddie.
