No rooms were available the first part of my trip to Mexicali, so we stayed elsewhere!! By the time we finally got over to the Araiza, we were ready for a quality and relaxing stay. The rooms are always fantastic at this hotel with comfy beds and pillows, high end linens, soft towels, mini-fridge, coffee pot in room, etc. The food facilities are always good also. The part we liked best was taking a soothing swim in the heated pool and going in the hot tub afterwards! So relaxing -- and isn't that what everyone looks for in a hotel stay?

Our company tends to favor this hotel for its reputation in safety and convenience. A lot of American companies stay here. It is mostly quiet but with many events going on downstairs from meetings to weddings. Almost all staff speak English and are very helpful and friendly. Nice features include heated pool, whirlpool, fitness gym, laundry room, business area, on site sushi bar and separate restaurant with room service. Food was always very good. Included Breakfast is a buffet of excellent tasty choices from traditional Mexican fare to a more modern style, including a made to order omelet station. The staff remembers your preferences and go out of their way to make you have a nice experience. Travelling solo, I always felt safe here.

Room tip: The "newer part" of the hotel (with the restaurant) has smaller, but updated rooms with a nicer view of the city.

Arrived at the Araiza hotel and was greeted by the front desk staff in perfect english. They had my key and off to the room in no time. Room was very nice it was clean and spacious.
Found out they have a heated pool and jacuzzi so had to go out and find suits. That was a fun trip but found some and enjoyed the evening in the hot tub.
Good Happy hour prices in the bar.

This is a 5 star hotel in Mexico, but its more like a 4 star in US. But still very nice.

Lots of English speaking visitors and all the staff spoke the language which is a big plus. Good part of town too.
