If your on a budget, this is the place for you. We planned a quick getaway with limited funds and this was a good value. The hotel rooms were very clean and there were housekeepers working all day long sweeping and mopping and keeping it tidy. It definitely is a no-frills hotel. Beach wasn't that far away either. Reception and staff very friendly. Internet access available in lobby.

Room Tip: Stay away from the pool/courtyard area. The walls are paper thin and everyone and anyone arriving a...

No more Bird zoo and the Bar is no more, closed up, Buffet is $7.50US and drinks are included, Good and filling but should be at $7.00 I live here intown and do eat here offten, good food and during week quite,Good for home Base for Spring Breakers or one or two nights with young familys.Fresh water Pool clean.2/28/2012 Parking is guarded at nights. Not close to beach, Maybe a 10min drive. Rooms around pool good for Kids. For this town this is average rating I give this place a three.

Room Tip: Outside lower floor drive up to your room and park.

Worse hotel I never had for this price.
Swimming pool don't look clean, room average but ok.
Ask for a room far from the courtyard and the bar, if you don't it'll be really really noisy.
Breakfast non included (+around $5/pers)

One of the towel wasn't clean (blob of blood) so we ask for an other which we never had.

I'm sure you can find a better hotel for the same price.

We have stayed at Hotel Paraiso three times over a two year period. This is a good hotel by Mexican standards. It might rate between a one - two diamond by AAA standards. If a reasonably pleasant but not exotic stay is what you want, this hotel is good for the money. (The hotel typically runs winter specials from US$35.00 - $45.00.)

The amenities are good, including an on-site pool and very reasonably priced restaurant (Aladino's)--even a fresh large bottle of spring water every morning. The outdoor parakeet "zoo" is of special interest to children and their singing adds to the "tropical" feel of the place.

Typically one may find a fixture that does not work, an unfinished piece of repair work, a missing towel perhaps. But the rooms are comfortable and satisfactorily apportioned. A US$10.00 deposit fee is required for obtaining a television remote. But Mexican cable offers little for the English-speaking tourist, and we did not visit Mexico to watch television.

One BEWARE! If you treasure peace and quiet at night, be sure to get a room either in the annex, or otherwise as far from the central courtyard as possible. The noise from the bar by the courtyard is very loud every night (til 3AM) and the bass vibrations reach into all nearby rooms, and can be felt even with the AC on.

My girlfriend and I took a weekend trip to Mexico,we had heard so much about Rocky Point and we wanted to experience it.We went on the internet to find hotels to stay at,we picked this one because of the beautiful picture they show and the accomodations and how close it was to the beach, when we arrived on Saturday we checked in and were nicely greeted by a woman selling time shares she was very nice but very pushy,we finally got the key to the wrong room and when we walked into it we were thouroughly disgusted, there were holes in the wall,no towels, wires hanging out of the walls,no phone service and it STUNK.The smell of mold and mildew was throughout the entire room, the sink in the bathroom was unfinished and disgusting,we finally got to our room that we were first assigned to online and people banged on the door all night and ran away.We have a feeling that since we had complained it was the employees doing this!!!!!Rocky Point is a nice place just don't stay at this HEll Hole!!!
