great little gourmet shop-- beautiful pastries, cheeses, wine, and absolutely the best breads, baked there. We found some nice gifts there.

“Possibly the best sandwich in Mexico.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2010

This place is essentially a deli selling meats, cheeses, wines. That kind of thing. But out the back is a pleasant patio where tortas (sandwiches) are served.

The bread was really nice, a rareity in these parts (no option of brown however). On one occasion I had ham and cheese and on another chicken and cheese. They also come with lettuce, tomato, onion and avocado plus crisps/chips on the side. Both times were excellent. The fresh orange juice was also very good.

I would have titled the review just 'Best sandwich in Mexico' but I've since been to Cafe Azul in Real de Catorce and theirs were pretty good too!
