My flight in was cancelled due to mechanical problems. Because I was in the air I was unable to cancel my hotel room in time and was charged for the room anyhow. I did call @ 7pm - 8pm (soon after their time limit) to try and cancel and was told that I would still be charged. I still stayed at the hotel for the rest of the week only because I already made these reservations. You would think to have my continued business you would forego charging me for the missed night. This would not be a problem with IHG. I travel to Aguascalientes often and will not stay here again with Marriott in the future. I understand that most hotels have a "cancel by time or you will get charged" But in the past when this has happened to me I was not charged because I was still staying other nights with them. Did I mention IHG? (Marriott, take a lesson) Unfortunately Aguascalientes is missing any hotels from IHG. It may not matter to you Marriott but little things like this will cause you lost business in the future. Overall I was happy with the room, service and location and would reccomend this hotel to others just make sure you are on time to cancel or you are guaranteed to get charged.
