This place is AMAZING! I stayed over the may bank holiday with a large group of friends. The yurts are fabulous. Very spacious and lovely and cosy when you keep the little stove going. We were topped up with coal, sticks, fire lighters and lighter all weekend. We always had enough.

The toilets and shower were lovely too, not far away at all, and kept beautifully clean. The grounds are huge so everything is spread out, this, without doubt is what adds to the place. The owners were welcoming, helpful and run a lovely relaxed camping experience.

Don't be put off by bad reviews, this place is definitely worth checking out. Perfect for groups, family or couples. I will definitely be back!

Stayed in this beautiful surrounding a couple of weeks ago as my cousin was getting married down the road in Middleton Park House and found the whole set up and place incredible! It's got a mini festival/hippy vibe feel to it with plenty of land (100 acres) to walk around and lakes to fish in! The owner Deirdre is very friendly and accommodating, showed us the communal area, toilets and our 'shepherds hut' which was sooo cute and cosy! Plenty of tea-lights, coal/turf to make a lovely hot stove that lasts hours! Yurts and huts were extremely clean and lovely fresh linen and comfortable beds! I do recommend bringing a torch though, wellies/rain gear if wet or an extra blanket if cold. Highly recommend staying here if your looking for something different, great for families, stag/hen weekends, couples retreat or just to get away and escape hectic lifestyles! ;)

We stayed here for a weekend break in April and loved it. It's a completely different experience to your usual hotel break and obviously its the kind of thing that's either for you or it isn't (hence some negative reviews).

The grounds are amazing and the yurts are really far apart so we had our own beautiful lake to ourselves (ours was the yurt furthest from the house). We were also lucky with the weather, clear skies, if a little cold. We left it a little late coming home on the second night which meant that we had to light the fire in the dark (by candlelight) which was a little difficult but added to the experience!

I was close to giving our stay 5 stars and the reason I docked one star is because the nearest toiled was a drive away from our yurt. This was fine for us as a young couple and as you do have lots of privacy in an emergency because the yurts are so far apart, but I imagine it could cause some difficulty for families with small children. I presume that boutique camping is a work in progress and these facilities might be developed in the future.

Overall I would definitely come back again and I would recommend to others.

Room Tip: I would bring a torch as a "just in case".

We were booked in for two nights and considered not staying even the first night!! The yurts are abit away from the toilets and communal areas...
The Yurt was most unwelcoming, no candles lit, it just looked dull. Deirdre showed us the fire and lit it and told us she'd be back with more kindling...that never happened... It kept going out and ran out of sticks... There were no lights around and with a river and bridge to go to the toilet it was dangerous.. DEIRDRE SAID FOOD CANT BE GOT EXCEPT IN kILBEGGAN!!No taxi to take you home and felt very unsafe and with no proper lock on the Yurt...
No real help or warmth from the family run business, it felt like they had their money theres your Yurt see you later..no lights if you do venture to the pub...we had a torch to guide us back..never again.
NO SECURITY WHATSOEVER...i WOULD BE CONCERNED FOR GIRLS ALONE!!

Room Tip: JUST DON'T GO!!! Maybe when the place is finished (restaurant being built) lit up areas and some...

Just back from a weekend at Boutique camping, 4 adults and 3 kids. We booked the three bed house and it was lovely. Loads of duvets, pillows and the beds were so comfy. The fire was lit for our arrival and the house was nice and warm. We were shown how to use the heating and there was plenty of wood for the fire. Only down side of house is that both bathrooms are ensuite so who ever is in the third room has sneak into your room in the middle of night, plus one of toilets is missing a seat.

The House is fab and the kitchen is great with a lovely sun room which was nice and warm while the sun was out. We were blessed with the weather and it didn't rain once (we were prepared if it did with wellies and rain gear). We brought loads of food with us.

The kids loved the place, pity there was no veg in the planter boxes out the back of the house, but the kids many use of them for digging. They had a blast exporing the grounds we didn't manage to get to the orchard and there was loads we didnt get to see so we will probably have to go back. The kids were so sad to leave. the yurts look great and are nice inside but it was very cold at night so you'd need to wrap up.

The lads went to the local pub and said that everyone was very friendly, they had a great laugh (the guinness was cheap and great). We used the small bbq's to light a fire at night and sit out the back of the house looking at the stars drinking nice beer and wine.

All in all a great time had by all will be back

We had a great time , dont Listen to bad reviews we are a couple in your 30's and this was the best Irish hol we have had, as always the Irish weather did let us down, Rain and More rain but once you pack your Wellies and a rain coat there is wonderful walks. We stayed in Yurt 1 which was close to toliets and Kitchen in Barn (which by the way has everything u need including 2 big fridges) . The Yurts where so much bigger than we thought plenty of room and once you keep the fire lighting stay warm but can get cold over night, nothing the that warm duvet and extra blankets they provide cant handle. Was very Romantic at night by candle light, but as it say in other reviews it is Camping so your on ur own and up to u if you run out of wood! We are already planning our next trip back cant wait.. Well worth checking out. PS worth hanging out in lake house at sun set...

Its lovely, a secret getaway - lots of fresh air. Very relaxed the common area is very cosy, used the treadmill when it was raining. Yurts very cute, but they do get cold - you got to keep the fire all night. Very romantic and secluded. We got a tour of the vegetable garden from the lovely gardener. It is a lovely place but it is definitely camping, so think no electricity in the yurts but beautiful candlelight, toilets a bit of a walk in the dark.....but the yurts are beautiful

Room Tip: Bring warm clothes, wet gear , a wolly hat and a hot water bottle!
