We travelled with a group of 17 to this resort in January 2007. I had never been to the Mayan Riviera or to an all inclusive resort so I wasn't sure what to expect. The hotel was amazing. From our room, to the staff, the food and drink, the beach and the grounds.....everything was wonderful. The only issues we had was trying to book the a la carte resaurants for 19 people. Hard for the hotel to organize that large of a group in some of the more popular restaurants. The buffet was great, they had a wonderful selection and every night was a different "theme" of food. The evening shows were amazing and the little lobby bar in our hotel was the best. Within the first day the waitress knew everyone's drink (all 19 of us) and she kept us happy and even brought over "special" drinks that she wanted to share with the group. Wonderful girl. We never had to leave the resort to go snorkelling as it was located in a great spot to do this. We did an excursion to Tulum and if you ever go to the Mayan Riviera this is a must see. It will change your life being on the grounds of an ancient civilization. But remember to bring your swim suit as there is a beach you can go to and swim in the ocean. All in all I would highly recommend this resort. You won't be disappointed.
