“Nice Resort”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We were there to attend a destination wedding and the place was very nice. Comfortable beds and we had a very scenic ocean view from our 5th floor room. Overall the experience was a good one! The staff were awesome!! Food was decent with good variety. Nice beach too. No real negatives , other than some of the evening entertainment in the theater was sub par but you don't expect a Vegas show :-) I found the sound system needs an upgrade, as it was hard to understand what the entertainers were saying. The wifi was a bit slow and worked best out on the patio, if you must surf the net or check emails :-) I would certainly recommend this place if you are looking for a nice family vacation , lots of stuff for the kids to do. They have an adult only side if you are looking for more peace & quiet. I liked the fact you didn't need a wrist band and no reservations required for the restaurants

Room Tip: I would pay the extra for the ocean view but some of the higher up rooms on the dolphin side afforde...

Mr Juan Segora and staff were flat out amazing. Their services help make my wife and I week long vacation that much better. The entire trip was relaxing and a success following a busy summer period. I would recommend your site anytime to anyone looking for a great vacation.

I want to preface this review with the fact that myself and the 4 other adults I traveled with are NOT picky. At all. My husband and I have been to other Cancun/Dominican/Riviera Maya resorts, and we know what to expect in Mexico. The food isn't going to be fantastic at a children's resort, that's a given. Things are done a little differently in Mexico, and that's okay. But one thing we DO expect is good service, because that makes all the difference. My mother in law paid for our family trip this last week, and we had 10 people total at the resort. That is not a cheap endeavor. But, from the very beginning, we were treated like a sub-class by many people at the resort, especially once they learned that we speak very little Spanish. They seemed completely put off and annoyed. Also, we asked for our family to please be put near each other and were told rudely that it wasn't possible and we should have asked when we booked. That is true, we should have, but the front desk receptionist, whose only job is to be nice and pleasant, could have told us in a nicer way than, "no, we can't do it."

The service at the restaurants was in a word, terrible. When we were seated, the hostess always seemed to be annoyed that there were 10 of us. Um...isn't that making the hotel money? Sorry, not sorry.

In addition, my husband sliced his foot open on a huge rock in the kid's ocean area within the first ten minutes of the trip. He was out of the water the remainder of the time. No one even apologized or checked up on him to see if he needed stitches. That's just wrong. I'm not asking them to remove every rock in the ocean, but he could have taken them to the exact place it happened and they could have made an effort to keep it from happening again. As it was, they had first aid wrap his foot and send him on his way.

Lastly, if you have children at this resort (which you likely will) BEWARE THE OLD, ELITIST MEN at the resort. Twice we had old, nasty and rude men complain to us. One time because our kids were "splashing" (on the kids side of the resort, mind you. There's an adults only area that's easily accessible and very quiet and serene). The other time was because we were playing volleyball (which the hotel initiated and set up) and the ball kept going out of the designated volleyball zone and running into this man's chair. The drama queen yelled at us and eventually went to the hotel manager to request that we stop playing volleyball. It was ridiculous and totally out of line.

Overall, the food was decent enough, the rooms were clean and the pool and ocean area were fun. We had a good time, don't get me wrong. But service makes or breaks a trip for me, and the service we experienced really did tip our trip in a downward direction.

One thing I truly loved, and it surprised me, was the dolphin excursion. I am a huge animal rights activist and was worried about the treatment of the animals. The staffers that were handling the dolphins were phenomenal and sweet, and the kids and adults alike all learned something from our experience with them.

The long and short of it is, if you can get a cheap deal with this hotel, go for it. Just be ready to not be super impressed with the staff if you have a larger party and don't speak Spanish. :)

Room Tip: Don't bother paying more for ocean view...the views aren't that fab, anyway.

Over amplified music boomed out at nearly every location in the pool and beach areas most of the day. Adult pool suffered from groups of people gathering on the jacuzzi whooping and hollering getting louder with each cocktail every afternoon & early pm. Over 55's beware. Everything else was excellent.

Best customer service ever, everyone so friendly and eager to meet your needs. Amazing spa, had one of the best hot stones massage here. Well working free WiFi. Nice beach, good for snorkeling. Loved to watch the dolphins and manatee.

My husband and I have been here before. We come for our anniversary. Jennifer who is the manager is WONDERFUL! At breakfast on our anniversary Juan Segurd in the World Cafe brought us a cake with candles. It was wonderful. They always made our anniversary special in some way. Later that day we received champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries. They were great. Dinner that night we ate at Portifinos, we also received a cake for dessert. The resort is small but very personable. Zaitseff Cava helped us get distilled water for my husbands CPAP. We had it in no time.

Room Tip: Ocean view is where you will get to see the sunrise every morning.

If you want to be rewarded, pampered, 'wow'ed, then book this place. Trust us, you won't be sorry. My wife & I booked here with 2 other couples, & we all agreed that this was truly a memorable, enjoyable, vacation. We have been to numerous all-inclusive places in Mexico, but this one definitely ranks very highly on our list of "go-back-to" resorts.
Top notch drinks, food, restaurants, entertainment, water sports, just to name a few. Everyone at this location is just too willing to please the vacationers. Excellent, top-notch restaurants, (without reservations), also.

Room Tip: All (3) couples were on 'ground floor' suites, with great views. Our personal suite actuall...
