Been going to Ixtapa for 19 years now - every evening we've sat and watched the sunset on this beach.
Just the right length for walking end to end. Vendors are respectful and mostly the same from year to year - walking the beach every day to sell jewelery, scarves, pottery, fishing trips - almost everything. There are jet ski, banana boat, and parasail folks to rent from. There are some beach volleyball opportunities, typically at the end of the day.
The sand is very nice. The surf can be dangerous often it seems - watch for red/black flags being flown at the hotels. There is some surfing on the far North end. Occasionally jellyfish will show up on the beach, making sandels wise.
The best part, since the beach faces west, are the sunsets though.
