"Playa Zicatela" is definitely one of the best surfing spots/beaches on earth ... for advanced surfers! Don't (!) go there for swimming or if you're a surfing beginner, but choose e.g. "La Punta", if you surfed before and want to try a fast hollow point-break wave with left direction, sandy/rock bottom and normal length or "Carrizalillo", if you're a beginner and want a beach-break with left and right direction, sandy bottom and normal length.
Breakfast is more of symbolic value than a treat, but there are a lot of tasty alternatives just a few steps from the hotel.
Located on the road along "Playa Zicatela", which - road and beach - are busy, but not (too) noisy, all your daily needs are covered by the shops around the hotel, and if you'd like to see/experience something else, the town (centre) is just a (very nice) 15 minutes walk on the beach or a five minutes cab ride away.
Clean, sunny and windless pools with some sun loungers around. There's no ocean view, but you have that 50m away at the beach.
Very clean and tidy rooms with very romantic ocean view in the ones, which cost a bit more. The spacious bed was neither hard nor soft and the AC worked just fine, so sleeping is just as relaxing as it should be.
Quiet sleepy - especially in the reataurant -, but very friendly staff - especially the room service -, which would help you, but (luckily) not bother you e.g. by trying to sell stuff (as in other more touristy places) in any situation.
