Stayed here for two nights for A birthday treat, have to disagree with the comments made about the welcome as we were made to feel as though we were a hindrance rather than a paying guest, on arrival we had to wait for the manager to arrive to sort out what room we were in , we were asked if we would like a drink while we waited which we were then charged for (cheers) when he did arrive he stood about 3 feet away from us and explained to the young waitress what room to put us in , as though we were invisible!
One of the staff failed to turn up for work on our second day & the manager whinged and moaned as he had to do it, three boxes of cereal and a toaster took him 45 mins to sort out!, having said that the two girls that were working the previous day never stopped and were pleasant.
You pay a lot to be right by the sea , great for surfing but in reality it is a one or two star hostel, room was nice but corridor smelt of damp, They are trying to do things to boost business like the cinema which was working when we were there but they could do far more just by smiling!
It is a beautiful spot, just needs a decent hotel.
