“hard to beat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2012

Quite frankly i could have eaten here every night..................it was good home-cooked food at a reasonable price. Very hard to beat and although we went elsewhere to try other pubs we all thought....................wished we`d gone to Ring o Bells.
The Thursday steak night was excellent, all steaks were delicious.
The Sunday roast looked great value @8.50 for 2 courses, we didn't go : but wished we had!
Service was very friendly , with a smile.
Home-made lasagne was excellent btw

“A Warm Welcome With Great Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2012

On our way to Padstow to pick up the keys for a weeks holiday in a fisherman's cottage....we thought we would try the Ring O Bells. A very warm welcome, great service and a lovely experience.

“Best restaurant in the area”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2012

Found this Pub/Restaurant via Google Maps whilst on a family holiday near St. Dennis. It is housed in what were 2 x 15th century cottages. Dont be put off by initial appearances. The food is excellent and the landlord and staff were all very friendly. I can highly recommend the steaks. On our 1st visit we had a 2 x course meal for 3, which, with drinks, came to aroiund £45. Excellent value for what we had, and the best value of all the restaurants we visited whilst in Cornwall. Well worth a second visit!

A word to the wise. The streets in Columb Major are very narrow and most streets have double yellow lines, which didnt seem to be too rigourously policed when we were there (6-7pm in August).

I would highly recommend a visit if you are in the area.

“Hidden gem”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2012

Tucked away in the village, it is nice to see a good old fashioned friendly pub serving good food. Obviously popular with the locals, it is easy to see why. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is very good. We went twice during our week's stay nearby. Between us we sampled the curries, steak, chicken nuggets and jacket potatoes. All delicious, beautifully cooked and excellent value for money, average cost £30-35.
