Stayed here for four nights last week (Monday-Thursday). After some initial problems with a leaking air-conditioner (that the hotel was aware of but still placed us in this room even though there was many unoccupied rooms) we were moved to another room & eventually another floor. Once this was sorted we were really quite happy & satisfied with this hotel. It is in a central location near the river, but views of the river are obscured by other hotels across the road, so if you want a view request a room at the 'bridge' end of the hotel with a balcony and on an upper floor. The rooms are spacious & clean with a nice bathroom, including a long deep bathtub, but not all rooms have a bathtub. There is a large flat-screen plasma or LCD TV with cable or satellite in the room, and free wi-fi that seemed to work OK most of the time. There is also a well-stocked mini-mart in the hotel & a restaurant that serves delicious and cheap food & makes excellent iced coffee. It cost $20 for a room at the front with a balcony or $15 for a room at the back with no balcony & no view. The only downside was the unfriendly receptionist's initial reluctance to do anything about the leaking a/c & her lack of enthusiasm to provide us with a glass of hot water to make tea, bearing in mind that no tea-making facilities are provided. We were eventually directed to the restaurant, but this seemed to be an effort for her.
