“What a Great Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2012

Wow, called in with my family for Sunday lunch, didn't reserve a table, but they managed to fit us in, I had the best food I've had out for a long time & service was freindly and efficient. Food esp my Roast Beef with the Roast Potatoes, & the mounds of Fresh Vegetables was really good. The Olives we had to pick on while we were waiting for our mains to come out were tasty with a hint of garlic and chilli. Definatly be going back.

“Poor”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2012

We have now had the misfortune of eating here three times in the last month or so. The food is below average especially for the price . The gravy is obviously instant , frozen veg instead of fresh and I do have my suspicions that much of the menu is heated up in a microwave! Or burnt on a griddle.
Sorry maybe under new management but sadly its not good at all.

“superb”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2012

We dined here twice in a week as it was so good with its welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. The mains are priced around £11 with a set menu and daily specials. My husband swears that the chips were the best he'd eaten in years and his steak was superb! He followed this with apple strudel and that was big enough to share, tho greedy guts ate it all himself!!!! I had swordfish with noodles and pineapple which was delicious followed by ice cream.

“Pretty average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2012 via mobile

Typical pub food, nothing on the menu or specials board was particularly adventurous.

Prices are about what you would expect for the quality/quantity of food you get.

Service was good and friendly. If you're unlucky enough to be seated in the conservatory after dark you might want to equip yourself with a touch to read the menu and see what you're eating!

“Don't bother”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2012

Disappointing lunch time. Booked but not busy however service very poor at one point had to find someone to get mains cleared and try to order desert - found them chatting at bar. Some mains were over priced for the quality of food e.g. salad out of a bag! Won't be re-visiting. Not what the web site stated.
