“Excellent, Beautiful and Low-priced”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2010

The service was excellent in this small and beautiful hotel, better than we expected. The room was beautifully decorated and was pretty comfortable. Centrally situated, it' s located 2 blocks behind The Cathedral. The lady in the Front Desk was so kind and helped us a lot during our stay in Zacatecas. I would come back to Terrassse Hotel again and again and again.

We loved our stay at the Terrasse. The rooms are extremely clean with cable tv and wifi, the hotel is in a fantastic central location, with comfortable facilities and to top it all off the service was brilliant. The staff and management went out if their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay and were alwayS friendly, warm and available to help. Thank you Terrasse, we will be recommending you to friends and family!

We loved Zacatecas and Terrasse Hotel was a perfect base for exploring it. We spent three nights there in the cheapest room they had which was right off the lobby but still plenty quiet with minimal street noise. The room was spotless and modern. Property is family owned and operated and staff was very friendly. If your Spanish is weak, Gilberto, the son, speaks very good English but is not frequently around as he has other gigs to attend to. The breakfast was nothing special but since it is included in the room rate it is good value ;-) Since all we ever eat for breakfast is yogurt, cereal and toast, it was fine for us. There is good coffee available a few blocks away if that is an issue.

From its gorgeous façade to room finishes, Terrasse will impress you. This is a pleasant hotel with wonderful staff (basic Spanish knowledge required) and a central location. I found Zacatecas safe and clean with a well defined and well kept historic center, better than other colonial cities in Mexico.

For $50 a night at Terrase, you will be able to get a nice room and a light breakfast which is OK considering the fact that there are plenty of places where to eat. I cannot fault this place and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the colonial city of Zacatecas.

Terrasse is right around the corner from the historic centre, with grand churches, plazas, magnificent buildings and cute parks. It's a well-renovated historic building.
My room had flat screen TV with loads of good cable channels, a luxurious bathroom with walk-in shower, marble walls and sleek fittings. Guadalupe at the desk was endless helpful and friendly. It felt like a five-star hotel but only cost about $US50.
My only complaint: the 'continental' breakfast was a bit boring with white bread, apples and corn flakes about the only choice.

I thought there would be a catch with this hotel - it was the only one I could get a room in during a busy festival, the website pictures looked fantastic and the cheapest option, a double room ensuite, only cost 650 mexican pesos. I was really pleasantly surprised when we got there - the old building itself has recently been turned from a big house into the hotel and is really nicely done. Our room was modern and clean, the bed had nice white sheets and duvet covers. The furniture all looked new. The ensuite was brilliant - like the room, modern and new. There was a great big showerhead and a massive shower cubicle with glass doors. The only downside with the room was it only had an internal window so you had to shut the curtains if you wanted privacy. I did see some of the other rooms and I kicked myself for not paying a bit more - the bigger more expensive options were nice and airy - big windows and space. I was jealous but on a budget!
The owner was very friendly - she did not speak much english but was patient with my spanish. When the clocks went forward and we arrived late for breakfast she got everything out again so we could eat. I really liked the hotel and could not believe it wasn't on trip adviser. I only found it on the Zacatecas tourism website. I would definitely go back - the location is good, it's a short walk to the main street and some lovely squares. It felt safe, clean and made me happy!
