We stayed at Turotel for 2 weeks and We really enjoy it. Everybody was really Friendly especially Zenaida (Front Desk) Pepe, (General Mgr.) Oscar, and Diego. (Waiters). One of the things that we like the most was that they would give us a lift almost everyday in the morning to where we were going for the day with the Turomobile car (that's what they call it lol). Because Taxi cost was adding up quick. Taxi would cost around $30 to $50 pesos per trip. ($2 to $4 dollars, It just depends where "you" going). We had Free Breakfast every morning. They had 3 different food layout every morning plus Fresh Handmade juices, fruits, Jello, Cereal etc. Note: The two weeks we were there they never repeated the same food. Also, "You" can order from the menu on the wall or just something that you want. They were more than happy to make it for us with no extra charge. The only thing they did charge me was for a coke $27 pesos :( (If you want cokes or snacks, I suggest buy them outside at a store is cheaper) Breakfast is from 6am to 12pm. Turotel has free Wifi. They CLEAN the rooms everyday!!! (Vacuum, Restroom, Bed etc.) They leave 2 bottles of water, coffee packs every day. No snacks :( Overall Experience We will definitely recommended to everybody and will stay at Turotel Every time we come to Morelia!!! (Every year!!!) Thanks Turotel for all the help. Keep it up Guys!!!

Room Tip: We stayed at Room 302 and you can hear the Vehicles in Traffic every morning lol. (Honking, Fast car...

Two years ago, we spent 4 nights at the Turotel after my wife's surgery. It was nearly perfect for our needs. This time it was I who had surgery and we again chose Turotel for comfort, service and the convenient breakfast buffet.

First off, the service is impeccable. The friendly staff goes out of its way to satisfy the guests' needs. We were graciously allowed to check in at about 1:00 p.m., two hours earlier than the "official" time. There is also a hotel car which will provide free transportation to local destinations at no charge (a tip to the driver is appropriate.) which we used twice.

The rooms, especially the beds are very comfortable, the desk is spacious, and there are many useful and capacious drawers in both the desk and the dresser.

There are numerous electrical outlets available for recharging batteries.

Housekeeping is impeccable.

The bathroom is still somewhat awkward due to the placement of the door, but it's not an insurmountable problem.

But on this stay of 4 nights, there were a series of equipment malfunctions, ranging from a tv remote that would not work, a burned out bulb in the desk lamp, (all minor and easily remedied), but then there were frequent outages of Internet access, and finally—worst of all— the elevator stopped working. The staff responded quickly to our complaints, but were unable to do anything about the elevator. The elevator tech man was called but didn't come until the next day. These was very inconvenient for us, as I have a walking problem.

To their credit, the management changed us from the third floor to a room on the "primer piso", which in Latin America is equivalent to the second floor in northern countries. Furthermore, they gave us the room for a night at no cost. We feel that this was very generous, and a show of positive good will.

As before, the food in the restaurant is seldom extraordinary, but a few dishes stand out. Calabacitas con crema for one. Burritos, which I had custom ordered to contain tinga de pollo, frijoles y queso, and the salad is always welcome in the evenings, although the otherwise delicious ham and white cheese gets kind of monotonous about the third day. Every night, there are the same two soups; Sopa Milpera and Sopa de Frijol. Both would be delicious if the cooks would restrain the saltshaker and consistently heat the soup sufficiently to a palatable temperature.

And in concluding about the food, they should get some decent dinner rolls as those served now are of very poor quality. Desserts are generally forgettable.

In conclusion, we still like the Turotel, and would stay there again, but they need to pay more attention to maintenance details.

Room Tip: Some rooms to the rear face a big wall of an industrial building, with some mild daytime noise. We p...

A conveniently located, clean, efficiently run hotel. The bedrooms are a generous size with comfortable beds. The food was reasonably good, but certainly not the hotel's strongest selling point.

A special word of thanks to the staff who from the moment we arrived were attentive and very helpful.

We planned at trip to explore Morelia and after searching Tripadviser chose Turotel as many recommended the rooms away from the main periferico for being very quiet. Well, we could not be happier.

We ask for a recommendation in central for lunch yesterday and they recommended the restaurant Lu. Tripadviser rated it the 4th best in Morelia and we would agree. Excellent service, food and location!!!

The added benefit of this hotel is that the the front desk staff mostly speak very good english if your spanish is lacking in any areas...but they will speak spanish if you are trying to practice.

Overall a fine place to stay.

Regards,

Preston

Thank you to all the staff to make our staying so easy and pleasant.
We were relocated at mid night from a beautiful downtown hotel (Hotel Casino)
it was a power breakage and they immediately took care of us (thank you)
We finaly decide to stay at Turotel for the rest of our visit because it has a very good location if your are visiting Morelia for shopping, business or vacation.
Good breakfast buffet and snack 24h.
Excelent service from Lupe (frontdesk, kitchen, waiter & valet! thank you very much)
we will be back.
