“Worth visiting again and again”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2012

This restaurant was only ten minutes walk from our B&B. Our first meal was so good that we immediately booked for the following night. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We spent for evenings there and had still not tried everything on the menu that looked good.

“a welcome in the highlands”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2012

fabulous friendly service, my request for a variation of a dish on the menu was greeted with total acceptance. The food was excellent. My dish of sea bass was cooked to perfection. Cannot recommend highly enough.

“Disappointing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2012

Food was well cooked however the first & second choices we made from the menu were sold out. A blackboard outside stated certain fresh seafood just in however it wasn't on the menu & when I asked we were told the board shouldn't have been there, although no-one then removed it. Overall dissapointing but the food we eventually got was good.

“Always a great place to eat.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2012

Service and food at Crofter's is always well above average for the area. It's very local to us and has been one of our first choices for eating out, for years, never disappoints. Real variety on the menu and specials, whenever we visit - though one or two more vegetarian options wouldn't go amiss.

“A Hidden Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2012

I last visited Rosemarkie fifty years ago on family trips to see my Gran. In those days, the Marine Hotel was a place for the very well off. It was therefore a surprise to find the Crofter's restaurant where the hotel garage once sat. My wife and I ate there on both the nights that we were in the village. The menu is varied and well-priced. The food was lovely: the freshly-made pavlova in particular was a dish to die to for. What made all the difference though was the warm and genuine welcome from the proprietors and staff. This bistro deserves to be successful and we happily recommend it to any fellow travellers in the Fortrose/Rosemarkie area.
